I am a Muslim Egyptian who have to say that copts and Muslim Egyptians are not divided however copts have many traditions that muslims doesn't have and vice versa of course, what only divide Egyptians around cairo is religion.
Ludi pavía is talking about football😂
I think they made the coptic and egyptian a bit to homogenious, they would be more place where copte would be more numerous and yet we see only one copte province, they should be more place where would be still in majority, the question is where
And There was A lot of local Egyptians in the power During mamluk era
The country called Artu- is the Artuqids im pretty sure
They are talking about football man...
Coptic's retain more preislamic Egyptian traditions
And now spain are gonna take their revenge against England for the loss of the armada😂😂
El Qasr means the castle, in normal arabic
8:57 qasr means palace in Arabic
meta btw the Artu is probably the Artuqids
Egyptian here, the divide between Egyptians, saidi and copts is weird for me as it's better to make Egyptian as the cultural group and saidi Egyptians and northen Egyptians as sub-groups but copts aren't an ethnic or cultural group they are a religious minority but they have the same culture as other Egyptians and same language and the same ancestry but they just stayed coptic that is the only difference
And the percentage of copts in the 14th century is huge it's between 35%-40% and they should be more in upper Egypt than in lower Egypt
And there should be some Bedouins in upper Egypt
The coptic language died in 17 century
So maybe
The egyptians needs a diferent name ( to many egyptians cultures to have one called eguptian)
I feel that more detail in the delta is need ( i know that some parts were marsh controlled by diferent etnic ( some turks belites and some albanians cristians from 12 century migration)
@@mastrey
Even stretching the existence of the coptic language to the 17th century is way too much and in academic circles it's commonly believed that it was completely replaced in the 16th century and in a matter of fact the copts started to abandon it by the 11th century as Arabic became the language of literature, science and state so to consider the copts a different cultural group in the 14th century is not that accurate making it just Egyptians is a better alternative
When we think history, present maybe is not that big.
Ludi its football
No way Ludi didn't get the soccer reference (im not american its football)
Coptics still speak the descendant language of the Ancient Egyptians so they should be a different culture as well even if they are still from the same haplogroup
