It allows her to sing easy but add any affect she wants to to convey the song the way she wants to. She has been on this quest for awhile. Yeah I was thinking the same thing. The impetus for this song is a song called 'Love Is A Losing Game' by Amy Winehouse, who's lyrics were described by George Michael as the best written song he had ever heard. In fact, he would actually sing his rendition of it in his concerts and whereas Adele was influenced greatly by Amy, who she adored, there is no comparison between the two songs lyrically. Amy's was sheer genius.
