I love all the horse's, donkeys & of course Leia. Can't give a specific horse, but I'd say that the Big 3 are first in line, I used to have a percheron mare, Sweet Pea, had her since she was a foal. Bought her from a horse dealer that tried to convince me she was out of a registered paint, but could also be registered as a pinto. And that she was a quarter horse. Lol 🤣 at her age, she could pass, but as she was nearing a yr old, I thought I had actually bought a mule. Because of her head & ears were really big. Lol But the rest are tied for 2nd. 😊
I have been watching for a while. Came here from Veggie Boys channel. I know nothing about horses so I cannot tell you what the difference is between a gelding and a stallion. But I do enjoy watching and learning about them. Thanks for doing these videos.
You gotta love the donkeys, Buster and Rocky. You guys should have a little corral set up out front so people could bring the kids and see them. I think it would be good for business. The kids pet the donkeys and Mom and Dad buy stuff from the store. Hmmmm?
Yup, it’s a lot of work. Rain or shine, snow or sleet, sick or not, you have to go out and take care of the horses. I dread going out especially when the weather is bad but once I’m outside doing horse chores, I enjoy it so much, I have to watch the time otherwise I’ll be late for work. Yes, do a video on why some have horse blankets and others don’t.
Lotta questions: what is the average age a horse lives. If you board a horse...what would you expect to pay for this service...do you provide everything in the price...do you pay weekly...monthly...do you have to call ahead to come visit. I love the mini donkeys...do you board those also. And i have been watching religiously...lol... love all this thank you
I enjoyed hearing about the horses. I like the one who knocks on his stall door to get out. I would love to hear about the blankets. i live in Southwestern Virginia, & do not notice farmers use blankets, but, I do see the covers they put over their heads.
Joel… any information you share is appreciated Samson is my favorite because many years ago I helped work with Belgian horses…Used the horses to bring in the hay bales and put them up in the barn… also helped prep the horses for show at the county fair
I would watch you and your stable no matter what you showed. I used to ride horses years ago. Haven't lost my love for horses. So keep up the good work!
I really like Sampson. I am terrified of horses one bit me on the leg when I was a child. But this actually lead to a positive thing for my daughter. She was about 5 when we went Riding for the Disabled. There were three of us looking after her, one lady leading the horse, and two of us holding her on. The two holders were chatting and I was trying to keep as far away from the horse as possible. My daughter could not walk, she could not hold the reigns. Then the lead ladiy started walking, but the two holders were not concentrating, so we let go. And there goes my daughter one hand on the saddle and the other one in mid air. She looked like a minature John Wayne. We ran after the horse, but the woodchips underneath made it difficult. The horse was more sure footed than us. So off went John Wayne. The lady in charge was amazed. She said that she didn't know my daughter could sit on a horse on her own. I did not know she could sit on a chair without support. It seems that moving was the answer. In order to stay upright your brain sends messages to your body. It seemed that my daughter was not sending messages out but once the horse was moving, her body was sending messages in, and her brain reacted to the input and she stayed on the horse. The lady I was talking too was very interesting too. The pony had belonged to her daughter who now did eventing and so had a much bigger and better horse. But they had kept the little pony as a pet, and lent it to Riding for the Disabled. It was actually a very naughty horse, but it seemed to know about my daughter and never misbehaved with her. Well almost never, just this once. She loved it.
Hey Joel, it’s Mary!! Thank you guys for loving Casino and taking such great care of him. I miss him every day but I knew it was the right choice for him to stay with you guys!! Hope all is well and sending warm thoughts from the west coast!!
A brother of mine who does not ride horses was willed horse by a neighbor to insure long term care.. It was how I learned a horse can live decades. And I also learned that horses that can no longer function for riding are called pensioners.
thanks for this information! Can you do a video on things to watch out for when dealing with horses, like walking behind a horse, how to give them a treat, or even what treats or no treats? What not to do around horses and what to do around horses.
I like seeing all the horses but I think Tucker is quite cute along with the puppy. Knowing Sriracha is from the line of horses from “Secretariat” is amazing too.
As a viewer who has only been subscribed a few months, this video was very informative. Thank you for taking time out of your busy farm chore day to film this. My fav is Tucker- I have a percheron mare, so I'm partial to the perch.
Yes talk to us about blankets for the horses! Anything you can share about the horses is educational and appreciated! You made a good point about running a stable that people might not think about. Horses need to be fed and cared for every single day. Question, could you hire Gavin full time to help out and give you and your mom a break? My favorites are Laia and Jack, Sampson and Tucker. I love them all really.
I soo loved this video, now I'll be able to identify each horse. Loved the introduction of each horse, ur pace explaining their characteristics, I so love Tucker, I knew Weather was big wasn't that sure about Samson, they're all amazing animals and you take such excellent care of them, their coats, bellies, pace and posture tell how well they're taking care of. Ur so young and so very knowledgeable, I fell in love with you the moment I saw you with Andrew! So glad you got ur own channel! You and Andrew and everything about your videos and cheerful demeanors make my days happy and joyful! Thanks for sharing ur lives every day and bringing joy to all of us that follow you! May the good Lord bless you guys with everything you need, love you 💕
Sorry to see the collar on George. Was the owner ever able to find the issue? We had one years ago unfortunately with GUS and it was a journey 💔 Truly enjoyed getting introduced to all your boys and how much care you have for them.
We started watching your video as my daughter and her daughters decided to get horses and a rescue Mini a year and half ago. Her younger daughter has decided to work with vets after working as a stable hand.
Thank you for that informative video about the horse's. I've never seen around horses so I am afraid of them, but, I think they are absolutely beautiful ❤️. Thank you for sharing your videos..
Thank you for the guided tour! Loved learning about all the animals. In no particular order I prefer : Sampson, Tucker, and Weather in the horse category. Buster and Rocky and of course the lovely Leia. I would love to know more about that wall with all the pictures on it above the hay maw. I would love to learn about anything about Sunny Knoll Stables that you and your amazing family are willing to share with us. As always, Thank you for sharing your world with us. See you in the next one.
I absolutely LOVED this video, Joel! You do an incredible job with the channel. I honestly can't wait for each and every episode, and I never would have guessed you are just 25 years old! You present yourself as someone much more mature.
Loved the tour and all of the horses. When are you going to see the sun....seems its always cloudy there....just kidding. I lived one state over and the winter is always overcast most days. Spring is on its way!!!!
Fascinating video very interesting BUT I would love to know the history of the stable. Was the Barn first or was the stable first? Did your mom buy it from grandpa or did Grandpa buy it from your mom? I think I started watching you from the beginning of your channel. Gavin came later. I hope you answer me 😃 later 👋
Casino and Tucker are my favorite overall. Casino just because he is such a cool lookin dude. Tucker bc he seems like a big old sweetheart and he has a good story.
THE BEST video yet about all the horses information BRILLIANT 👏👏👏 Any information you are willing to share about A STABLE LIFE would be greatly appreciated as it's fascinating all that is involved 👍👍👍👍 Favourite animal ALL of them as each has their own personality!!!!!! Love from the UK x
Yes, interested in blanketing horses.I am a fairly new subscriber and enjoyed hearing about each one. I think my favorite is Tucker partly, because of the way he came back to you. Didn't know the story of the donkeys. Thank you foe today's video.
I’ve been watching for a while and this video was great to see. Glad you showed the two misfits (Buster and Rocky). Saddle up boys we want to see more.
Joel - A suggestion would be to have a camera to catch the horse eating at the covered hay station. (Gavin did something like it a few videos ago and just showed them standing and eating.) I'd love to hear more about the blankets and when/why sheets are used vs a heavier blanket. Thank you for all of the information and for another great video.
We watch you and the Veggie Boys. You are really improving your video skills and getting comfortable. We enjoy your informative videos the most. Keep us informed. We believe that you should learn something new every day. We are in our 70s and you have been entertaining us.
The people who put the horses in your care are lucky that you care for them the way you do and I couldn't pick a favorite I love them all, thanks for the video.
I'm definitely interested in blanketing horses and the reasons some are blanketed and other aren't. I always see groups of horses around where I live where some have blankets and some don't and I've always wondered why.
I fancy the three big boys, and I saw in the comments that Sriracha is from secretariat blood lines! That is so awesome! Great video Mr Joel, see you in the next one 😀
I absolutely adore William, I think he is beautiful and majestic.
Our favorites - ALL OF THEM!!! ~grinning

I have been watching for a while. Came here from Veggie Boys channel. I know nothing about horses so I cannot tell you what the difference is between a gelding and a stallion. But I do enjoy watching and learning about them. Thanks for doing these videos.

I like Tucker and Roanie.
Yes! Blankets! Why different weights are used, how to wash them, how long do they last?
I love William kicking his door haha!
Loved meeting each animal!
Joel, we need to know more about cold, warm and hot blooded horses. I never heard of that.
Joel… any information you share is appreciated
Samson is my favorite because many years ago I helped work with Belgian horses…Used the horses to bring in the hay bales and put them up in the barn… also helped prep the horses for show at the county fair

Enjoyed hearing about each horse, donkey and Layla. Our favorite is Tucker and Samson.
Wether is my pick. I love his " I ain't in no hurry and nobody is going to rush me" attitude. That being said, Sampson is gorgeous.
Its fascinating to me that animals of such mass and power can be so gentle.
