I remember listening to this back in the day when it first came out. Idk how or where I ran into it, but I know I was a sophomore in college. It was ON REPEAT for a few years. It used to give me such comfort. I had forgotten about it in the last few years and accidentally ran into it on an old playlist of mine. I can confirm it still gives me the same kind of comfort, but now it’s mixed with nostalgia for that version of myself and those college days. Life passes by so quickly, and in some way, being back here today is a reminder to myself to make the most of every moment and every encounter. Nothing ever lasts. We will, inevitably, meet in the white light. In the dust cloud. Ghosts. A little sad, but also beautiful. Life is beautiful. I hope you live it to the fullest - today and every day. I lived in New York back then.
