Isn't Mother nature breathtaking ♥️ Thank you Hayden for your time and effort to create this video - a great way to end the week ♥️♥️♥️
That's what I like to see. Your Dad chewing a kernel to test moisture. Never mind all the fancy gadgets that you use!
Faster and cheaper for sure lol
Great memories. I followed the harvest in 1965 and we had Massey Super 92 s We worked from Frederick, Oklahoma up to Cutbank Montana. A long hot summer, slept in tents.
My dad use to do the same thing walk out in the wheat shell out 3 or 4 heads and then say about 1 hr or right after lunch ,the funniest part 3 or 4 people waiting for the verdict would lol when my dad would say 13 percent moisture and then at the elevator 13.5 this is 40 years when combines did not have all the gadgets of today's harvesters 😅
Great video from header and chopper. Would like to see more of that!
great video. thank you
Like the storm footage
Keep up the good good work. Watching your videos half way to Europe. Will keep on following. You folks stay safe. May you have fair weather
🇺🇸 I know you're in the business and all but I've followed a couple Montana dryland farmers for a couple years. Maybe it's just the drought they've been going through but if they didn't show their 10 bushels/acre they wouldn't have much footage 😢!! They weren't proud of the crop, nor ashamed, just happy to get what they did 👍. God bless 🙏
Hi families excellent video storms look Scary and as always you all be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Good footage of the Krazy clouds
In 1980 and 81. I worked the harvest. So yes, I have seen storms roll in. The average we got over the two years was 56 bushels . The best I ever saw was in Scott City, Colorado, at 110 .
Hayden, you are still behind on your editing. lol I see this morning that you didn't recognize me from last year at the restaurant. lol Welcome back to Nebraska!
you better hurry up, combines are cutting here in NE. 😊
I’m behind on TH-cam’s. We are actually already in NE 😏
I love your videos. Pleas keep making them and how many Acres you harvast in 1 season?
I think you said Salina Kansas. Old B-52 bomber bass. We flew out there in 1981 to wheat training over to Germany Colby Kansas where I joined a ARNG Kansas that is lol
I bet your Dad can do a taste test on the wheat and be able to give a good estimate on the moisture. That is what you call hands-on experience.
All of us can
Harvesting weeds with a side of wheat
"I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore..."
Ive never plugged our chopper in weeds ..and its a 770 also
Depends on the type of weeds
@@HaydenOnHarvest I gotcha....those looked like palmer or pig weeds as we call them
So who won the light game😂
Mom 😞
Finally Hayden posts. Also what part of Nebraska will you be in after Kansas?
North Western
turn the tops of your leather gloves down then soak in water while wearing them till day as do done by teamsters.
Hayden , you and your crew are always hard working . I actually have question : At what point it does not make sense for a farmer to harvest . . As off less then X amount of bushels ? What is the magic number ?I assume you guys get paid by the acre . ?!?
Do the combines feel tail heavy when roading without the heads on ?
🤩👍✌
Yep your from Texas calling a pond a tank you was raised right I'm from and Live in central Texas a little town of West, Texas it north of Waco Texas people past the red River call them ponds
Went to college in Waco
@@HaydenOnHarvest Tstc mcc or Baylor
1:40 Shaun, is it you?!? 😁 #Northern_Farmer #NorthernFarmerAB
What do the farmers do with the windrows of weeds? It probably too heavy to plant through?
1. It didn’t leave too bad of a windrow. 2. They should have taken care of business in the fields. You get handed a mess you leave a mess.
If the farmers sprayed for weeds, you wouldn't have that problem. Some farmers are proactive and some are just plain lazy
If your wheat is making 10 bushels, it is not economically feasible to spray the weeds, just avoid the weeds with the combines and let the sweep plows or disc plows take care of the weeds.
What part of Kansas are you in? I live in Hutchinson Ks.
What is the reason you don’t run duals on the combines?
Too wide when hauling on semis
I was beginning to worry whether or not someone got hurt that was so long since the last one. Weather can be beautiful but also can ruin a harvest. Whether the weather be cold, Whether the weather be hot, We weather the weather whether we like it or not!
Everyone is fine I’m really behind on videos but they will come out sooner than later. We are currently moving equipment to Nebraska today.
Why do you guys buy from BTI
What a crappy crop!
