  • Unless you are a professional bike reviewer it is hard to get your hands on one of these 25,000 Euro bikes to ride them off-road - the only place I know of where you can do that in Germany is the Enduro Action Team and this year I had the chance to take a Ducati Multistrada V4S for a test ride in off-road conditions.
    This is not a full review but this video will show off-the-cuff impressions while riding the Multistrada. I will compare the Ducati to my 2020 KTM Super Adventure R. I was curious to see how it would stack up against my KTM and I was pleasently surprised how well it handled.

    Nice review of this V4S. I was only going to sign the purchase order until ...
    ... I watched carefully many reviews on YT where one main complain remains : short autonomie due high fuel consumption.
    If Ducati can fix this major negative point for long distance traveller’s, they will sell much more Multistrada,

      Bad fuel economy is the price you pay for the most powerful adventure bike on the market- as it’s also the most expensive I am not sure that many buyers will be that concerned in the end. Relative to the power output the current big bore adventure range from KTM beats them all with regards to fuel economy- even the GS.

      @@MotoVibes I'm ok with your assessment but certainly not for long distance traveller's.
      Some videos compare V4S vs 1290 SAS and the conclusion was 60% more fuel for the Ducati in Off-road.

    That's great. Loved it. Not many off-road honest videos about the v4, do u have a road test for it? Tks for all yr work. How's the injury by the way? All 100 percent? Hope so, hope no any lingering issues.

      Thank you Dave. I would like to take the Ducati for a road ride some time. That is where it should really shine. I am curious about how the V4 will deliver power compared to the V2 of the KTM (or the old Multistrada for that matter). My insuries are healed to almost 100 percent- I am tour again right now 😉 just got to Wales today and will be in Ireland tomorrow 😎

      @@MotoVibes wow Wales and Ireland. That's a change. Fantastic. Take care .hope yr injuries will continue to be 100 percent. Good night. Sorry. 4 disturbing so late.

      @@DaveDayve it’s not so late here 😂 Scotland is next and England‘s Lake District right before we return to the main land in 2 weeks time. We are just getting started with our tour 😉

    Isn’t a real Offroad bike. I drive one never will ride it Offroad to expensive to ruin is more a road bike than an Offroad one, even Dealers will tell you that.

    • @MotoVibes
      @MotoVibes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think even less people will take this bike off-road than the GS riders for that exact reason. I think Ducati wanted to make sure they have the street creds to call this thing an adventure bike and they did a good job in my opinion 😉

    When will we stop the silliness of pretending that a 500lbs, 150HP, $25K bike on a dirt trail is a thing. I guess it reflects money and coolness. I love a big Adv on two lane asphalt but give me a 175 dirt bike, dual sport of even a mountain bike all day long on that trail.

    • @MotoVibes
      @MotoVibes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Terrell - there is a place for everything. These big adventure bikes are well suited for long distance travel and allow some easy off-road riding too - that is what makes them so interesting. I would not have made it to most places I have taken my bike to on a 175 lbs dirt bike. Adventure bikes are great to combine onroad and off-road tracks. For pure off-road riding there are definitely much lighter and better options out there

      @@MotoVibes good points, these machines will take you long distances to some remote places then dual purpose along basic dirt tacks but not anything extreme due to weight. That in itself is enough for a very interesting category of bike.

      I have taken my 14 ktm 1190 adv S 100 miles from garage then ride trials then back home. With luggage cases too. More enjoyable than loading a dirt bike onto trailer or truck, unloading it , ensuring tow vehicle security, then riding, then reload bike onto trailer.
