Amtrak is great for commuting to Oakland and connects with a bus to SF if needed through Emeryville

I love that Martinez has an Amtrak station. I'm going to take Amtrak from Martinez to Reno this June for my birthday (big day falls on a Saturday this year)

Nicely done (even at a year old). The video is kindly accurate. It’s also necessary to mention the fantastic restaurants here in Martinez. We love this city. Even tho we will be selling soon and leaving (moving out of country). If we were to stay - it would be here.
    Thanks again for the video

Thank you @johnevoice. I'm such a big fan of Martinez as well. I actually have some additional videos for Martinez that I'm in the process of recording. Can't wait to get them uploaded here! Also, if you need any assistance selling, I'd love the opportunity to interview for the job!

I've been in Martinez now for 12 years and absolutely love this city. I also disagree about the homeless situation. Our city council has done a great job addressing the homeless issue so there is not much now in the city in my view
I also want to mention that there's sadly a stigma with the homeless community. Studies show the homeless are far more likely to be victims of crime than to do the criminal behavior. Let's not always assume that just because a place has homeless people means your chances of being victimized elevate. I take this very seriously since my aunt died homeless.

@@cajayson8301 glad to hear you love Martinez, I have worked with and know many others who feel the same way. Their downtown is one of my personal favorites.
Not sure who’s always making that assumption that you mention in your second paragraph. That may be an assumption in of itself. But hopefully most people don’t make the assumption you mention.

I live in Martinez. There are pretty much just two high schools your son will go to wherever you live in Martinez: College Park High School in Pleasant Hill or Alhambra High School in Martinez. Both of them are very good so no need to worry

Oh yes. The pics are Martinez (other than some freeway pics that I’m uncertain about).
