The FT Freedom Fox is Hot - Airflow Mod

I got a 3d printed part from FT to cut into the fuse of this bird. We will do a before and after temperatures on this mod.

I got one of those 3D printed things in the box and had no idea what it's for. Thanks for the video! I maidened V2 today, no real issues but could definitely feel the heat radiating out of the "cockpit" area.

Did you install the air flow mod?

I swap out the prop for a 12x6 and it seems to not overheat the esc. I think the prop they provide is too small

I had not thought of that. Let us know how it goes. Maybe I should do the same temp test but change the props

I also used the 12 x 6 the tundra uses a 12 six so I use the carbon fiber one makes it look a little snazzy good results

Good Mod for longevity. I maiden mine yesterday and it seemed ok without the mod for now. I never went above half throttle. I flew it without the flight stabilizer on and it is a little tricky to fly until you get the hang of it. I would not recommend this as a first RC model. Hope to get the stabilizer set-up soon to make it less jumpy especially in some wind. Keep the good videos coming.

Thanks for watching and for the comment. Even if yours is fine on your flying, I would advise you send FT an email and at least see if they will get one sent out to ya. Just in case you find you need to do it in the future.

Too bad those guys with all their combined knowledge they coulda figured out that there wasnt enough air cooling in the nose of the plane...Duh

It took them a min, but they did figure it out and provide a file for us to 3d print and add to this thing.
