This is magnificient record. From YES. And it is a modern record, it is 2021. And it is so amazing. I watched this again and again. This kind of records are collest! This is a musical quest! So melodical, so comlex and so like a quest to a new something. Exponential. Yes, right word. YES - it is EXP music. Music with Exponentatial. Race against time. Science and knowledge. Synthesizers and wonderful singing. Full of images and deep musical landscape. This is YES!!!! Y E S!

If you don't have a Subwoofer you will not hear the real deep bass that this song has.( 24-28Hz)

Well, after listening to their first song release and video off their new album, I have to say that I like it. The band is in top form, it stays true to progressive rock and Yes. Looking forward to hearing more. I will be buying this album. I have been a Yes fan since 1971 and I attended my first Yes concert at the age of 15 in 1975. What is that, like 100 years ago or something? I am aware of all the personnel changes and could not care less. I am a fan. All are talented.

Before he died, Christopher Squire said he wanted to see Yes continue on "in perpetuity" with a continually changing lineup (he compared it to a philharmonic orchestra formed decades ago, while it has different performers, it's still the "Philadelphia Philharmonic Orchestra," for example.) This is what we're seeing here. Downs has such different tastes from Wakeman, but he does show some Wakeman-esque flashes as he and Howe trade licks in this number. And no offense intended at all to Billy Sherwood, but nobody can equal Chris Squire's uncanny ability to bring a piece of music together. It IS very nice to hear Steve Howe can still bring it. I'm looking forward to hearing the whole thing to see where this piece fits.

I've rolled with all the lineup changes since with an open mind/ear and I'm grateful for this band's longevity. In spite of multiple listenings, however, I struggle to appreciate or enjoy Heaven and Earth. THIS tune is encouraging! Stylistically, the keyboard section in question sounds 100% Downes to my ears. I've noticed that people have pointed out how Monkman also lifted a section from Vangelis for his Energism soundtrack album as well, likely also from library music bits. Monkman has publicly stated in an interview that he composed Energism in 2 days. Apparently, when you are purchasing sections of pre-written music, it's easier to generate compositions at a more hasty speed. Surprisingly, there is some resemblance with "To The Moment" - song by Oliver Wakeman recorded by Yes that was released on the mini-album "From The Page" following Chris Squire's death. It is especially interesting that the songs share only two musicians: Steve Howe and Alan Price, and while Billy Sherwood sounds close to Squire, keyboards and vocals differ considerably. That's about it. This has got a much better sound, it's musically more interesting than Heaven and Earth which was poor. I suspect Sherwood's work principles and energy had a lot to do with the improvement. But Davison has got a pretty voice that has none of the strength that Anderson had, it's not captivating, Anderson always shaped the music and was at its centre, here the vocals are dressing on top of the music .This lacks the multiple vocal parts that make Yes music, Those who could listen to Heaven and Earth will likely love this.

Love it! The very first YES release from the first album with no original members. And I am digging it....it is undeniably YES! The Quest is the first Official YES album without Chris Squire on bass. Well done, Billy Sherwood! Chris knew what he was doing when he placed you in his shoes. Nice keyboard work from Geoff Downes (who I think has now been with YES more consecutive years than any other YES keyboard player). Hats off to "the new guy" Jon Davison, filling a nearly impossible role on lead vocals. Alan White was once "the new guy" but now has been with YES longer than any other member. His arthritic back prevents him from being able to play full live concerts, but he can still perform in the studio. Yet, it is the amazing Steve Howe who is clearly now the leader of the band & "keeper of the flame." For the moment.
YES have now officially crossed over The Ice Bridge from past to present...

I think they have done well finding Jon Davison. I just love Steve Howe's guitar playing too. He is a living legend. I have just bought this album and getting into the other tracks too. They've had some interesting line ups during the last few years. I saw them at a gig at the Bournemouth International Centre in 1998 and was so pleased that I got to see Chris Squire in action.
