I just finished the mph program at umiami and I had a class with Lashae my first semester. She's super sweet and kind hearted. Prayers! You got this!❤❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾
What an extraordinary person you are! I’m so glad you had the interior strength to stand up for yourself and ask for that initial breast exam. And the fact that you lifted
Wow ! Praying for a full recovery keep up your good work . My mother and all my sisters have died of cancer. and one sister is fighting cancer and she had lung cancer. Found it in stage 1 . I have no cancer but I'm scared but I know God made every fiber of my being . Trust everyday on my Lord 🙏. Stand strong you are a fighter your strength to help others show. Amen.
I am glad you are getting treatment for this. I had a hard lump in one breast since Jan. Last 6 months. Had mammograms, ultra sound and eventually breast biopsy. In May I had pet scan and bone marrow biopsy. It turns out it's my original cancer of lymphoma. It's still cancer, but not breast cancer. The lump hurt for months. A few weeks ago I had a cortisone shot in my leg for bursitis. It helped my leg a little .. but surprise , my lump is almost gone as a side effect. I panicked as you did and I'm much older. Praying for your full recovery 🙏
Thank you for this video. It’s great that you were proactive. I’m a breast cancer survivor (25 years since dx). I hope you have as easy as possible a treatment protocol and good health from now on. And I wish you great success in your much-needed profession.
Thank you for your story. I especially am proud you told about your lump being moveable when you found it. Many people still think if its moveable then its not cancer. Prayers for you and all other facing cancer.
LaShae, You are a lovely, strong and articulate young lady who will go on to do great things. Your unique insignts will help so many other people. This video is already doing that. Well done.
WTH, someone answering the phone with zero medical training is over riding a physician order?! How is that allowed!!!! I am glad she got testing done and they found it, despite the arrogant person on the phone!
It doesn't surprise me at all. Look at how they performed during the pandemic....since then I question everything healthcare professionals do. A good doctor will appreciate your interest and thoughtfulness.
Thank you so much for sharing your cancer journey. I'm sure you helped many other women. I'm a 32 year survivor of a rare form of breast cancer and it feels so good to be considered cured. My best wishes to you for a long and healthy life. ❤
Wow. I fully understand your journey. I too am on a breast cancer journey and had a right breast mastectomy. Your sharing is much appreciated, and I agree with the description of marginalized groups. I’m also from the Caribbean.
Something I'm amazed at from Drs, is that they tell so many that, you're too young to have this form of cancer for testing. I'm sitting here listening and saying, " cancer doesn't care about age!" Cancer doesn't choose only certain age groups! Cancer will attack you at ant age! A nurse at our cancer clinic told my friend that by 2040, 1 out of school
I just find out this video . I just diagnosed going through my MRI . They said mine is 4cm not in lymph nodes. I ddont know whats going on. Very depressing .
it’s vasoconstriction blood vessels that transport blood to the hair follicles using a cold cap to reduce the amount of chemo that enters the hair follicle.
Honestly it's insane to me how much in US healthcare the patient needs to arrange their own testing. Obviously if you have a lump that cannot be confirmed to be benign upon palpitation you should get a mammogram. It's not an invasive procedure, it should be performed liberally. And that's before we get into the whole discussion about costs and insurance coverage, which is a whole other can of worms.
I get so frustrated with stories where young women were told "It can't be breast cancer, you are too young". OK, so only 2% of breast cancer cases occur in women under 30 - but that means 5,280 young women will get breast cancer and get it diagnosed late in the USA alone
Hi, I can answer what I used during my treatments. I also heard her in the video explain. I used mitts for my feet and hands purchased from Amazon and added cold packs in them. 🙏🏽

I thought the same thing when I heard her say that. A peculiar gatekeeper indeed.

Awesome courageous person
Don’t ever let a tech or admin talk you out of a procedure your doctor wants you to have.

I wish health care professionals would GET OVER the wrong think ‘too young to have cancer’.

Please tell me what is scalp cooling?
it’s vasoconstriction blood vessels that transport blood to the hair follicles using a cold cap to reduce the amount of chemo that enters the hair follicle.
@@msaunshain the end I lost my hair!🥲
Scalp cooling is used in the hospital to put on your head during chemotherapy to protect the hair follicles to help stop you losing your hair.

Also, what did you do to prevent neuropathy? Ty
ice compression gloves for my feet and hands.

Too young for a mammogram?!! Young people get cancer all the time!☹️
I know its the same In the UK and so many young people 3:38 in their 20's upwards are being diagnosed so wrong.
biofilm?
❤🙏👍
Best of health, maybe avoid jabBS
This is a very unhelpful comment. You should reconsider what you say to people in the future
