@alexis gough that was last year, and was twice as much as we ever paid for a player. He has not been involved pre-season so we may be trying to sell him

"Why Don't Liverpool Have Any Money?" A new Main stand, a new training ground and shortly a new Anfield road stand. That's why they don't have any money.
New main stand was 4 years ago mate. Anfield Road will be installments an pays for itself over time. Training ground was 50m. We didn't spend a penny last season, we have won the two big cups, brand new Nike deal an the excuse for no match day revenue is bullshit. Its only 15% of our income. We are mega rich so there's no excuse. Where is the money?????
Exactly.... he's not acting like a sugar daddy which is fine by me a lifelong LFC fan. And I'm sure Klopp understands this very well. Anyway, I don't need new signings to get excited for the current team. I'll criticize if we start to play like shit in the league and not getting results but for now I won't pretend I know better than the people running the team and club. At this moment I'm happy with the team & club. This could change but I hope it won't. not in the near future at least
Its nothing to do with not having money IMO. I watch MLB as well as football and Liverpools owners in MLB and so far in Premier League use "moneyball" strategy. You can see it with unfancied signings like Matip and Milner as well as the big signings they have made like VVD. It would take a very long comment to explain what moneyball is but long story short Boston Red Sox have gone from failing to win a World Series in 100 years to winning 3 in 15 years. So if you are Fenway sports you are thinking "Why change a proven succesful strategy"
Day 107: XI of most own goals since 2010/of all time. Day 14: 7 best own goals ever scored. Every Man Utd goalkeeper since Schmeichel rated/ranked/where are they now.
Very good points. Having Klopp as our coach is a plus as he is a great developer of players and that’s what I see them doing through the academy and the not through high profile signings
I think liverpool need some good quality backup to their first team they need depth and qualtity in their bench if they want to compete in every compition
Yes but the first teams exorbitant wages are the reason why we cant recruit . They are a closed group and want to keep it that way ofvourse they deserve every penny but it comes with huge expectations.
@@adzertwd193 We'll be very competitive for the league in any case. Still haven't seen City sign defenders to match what we've got. We can go 2-3 more seasons with no signings and still be competing at the very top. What we should be more worried about and looking ahead to is being able to have money available when we need to transition in 3 years time.
Daniel L. you maybe able to compete for the league but without making any signings winning the league will be harder for you every year especially with city and chelsea deciding that they going to spend a shitload of cash to close to the gap and and although i wouldn’t be surprised if liverpool win the league this year but next season without signings i don’t see liverpool beating an upgraded city to the title
@@Tridentus 0 signings for 3 years and think you will still compete with city you are DELUSIONAL lol, city sores way more goals than liverpool and has a FAR better squad depth all they need is to stop letting them in, they've signed 2 defenders so we'll see how there new defence line up does
Fantastic video this mate. As a Liverpool fan myself I get extremely tired with fans both of Liverpool and other teams who think that real life is like FIFA career mode or football manager. The investment has already been put into the squad and were seeing that come true now through aloud youth players too. Granted a few new faces are always nice but people need to see the bigger picture. Great video 👍
As a non-Liverpool fan I think they’re being quite smart about Thiago, yes he’s a fantastic player. But he’s not obviously a Klopp player, he’d have to spend time learning a system where his creative role is usually played by the fullbacks and Firmino rather than a CM who has to be more commanding and aggressive like Henderson, no doubt he can do that Flick’s philosophy similarly stresses pace, pressing and possession he still isn’t somebody who’s gonna immediately fill a hole and improve a team. He’s also nearly 30 and would be on large wages and difficult to sell on later when he’s older. Signing him would be a statement to both the first team and the wider footballing world that they intend to stay at the top but I think the club being smart to say that he’s only valuable up to a certain amount
Akmal Rodzi what bullshit..lmao very few clubs could manage Liverpool for the last 3 seasons and your “experts” comment say Liverpool is predictable? Lmao..please stop making jokes..it’s to funny.lmao
Day 9: the decline of Scottish football- why teams like Celtic and Aberdeen went from European trophies to struggling to qualify and why the national team has become so poor
Money and lack of youth academies good enough to produce world class talents. Lastly power and strength, which you lack genetically. You need to play a kind of tiki taka smart play to really succeed
It's quite simply, not many people outside of Scotland and Ireland were interested in the league from the 80's onwards. So there was just no reason for multi million sponsorship deals to invest since it wasn't financially viable to get their money back from sales and merchandising. Therefore they had significantly less money for proper training facilities and experience to further advance the clubs and the league.
@wildebest There is no evidence at all that Abramovich wants to sell up. We've had all this during the past 15 years that he would lose interest when certain goals were achieved. The 'sugardaddy' jibe often gets trotted out but the guy is not stupid. John Henry has injected £100m into Liverpool for the stadium expansion. Abramovich has put huge amounts for team strengthening although Chelsea have had to comply with FFP since 2011. Their business model is not that dissimilar in that that they are investing in a growing concern. If Abramovich sold up, he would recoup all that he put in plus a hefty profit on top. The same is true for FSG. Other owners have taken a different approach, borrowing heavily against the clubs assets and using profits for their own immediate benefit.
@wildebest There was a lot of press talk about Jim Ratcliffe making a formal bid but Roman allegedly wanted offers of above £2.1bn. The bottom line is, even if he did decide to sell, the club would simply change hands from one very wealthy owner to another. As said, the club has complied with FFP regulations since they were brought in and that is without stadium naming rights or the other 'clever accounting' going on at the Etihad. From the very outset of his takeover, it was always the intention that the club would be self-sustaining in time. Even these recent purchases have had to be balanced out in the accounts. The excellent Swiss Ramble site explains how it's been achieved. twitter.com/SwissRamble/status/1300321535178289152 Personally, I think Abramovich got the hump with H.M. Government with the visa delay and Yes, he may have wanted at one point to cut all ties to the UK. Bruce Buck, the club chairman has said his commitment was as great as ever. The team has gone through more turbulent times in the past and he hasn't chucked the towel in. The new stadium plans are also a sign he may be around a while yet.
@wildebest Not sure how you come to the conclusion it is finished, if they are 3rd or 4th. There is a competent team and manager, and while they can't outspend some of them, smart recruitment has been a forté that got them into this position and while it is a self-sustainable club it is a financially healthy club with a revenue that is only £2 mil behind City. LFC have doubled their revenue in the past 6 years and is above £500 mil. Spurs owe more than a bil to the banks, Utd owe £500 mil, Chelsea owe £1.3 bil to Abramovich, and City's project has derailed and when Pep leaves, they will need to reset, because their setup is the blueprint of Barcelona, even prior to Pep joining, and they have failed a lot of investments in recent years. And when Klopp leaves, Pep Lijnders will likely take over.
@@chelseacharger If Abramovich sells the club, the club will be weighed down by the £1.3 bil the club owe him. And with the uncertainty of the future income for all, Chelsea will continue to be reliant on selling players to balance the books. Due to the pandemic clubs has been allowed two years to comply with FFP, and at large why Chelsea has gone out and spent big, while it is a risk, even if they sold big with Hazard and Morata. SwissRamble forgot Pulisic in his accounts, but yeah it is a great read.
Yeah apart from the fact that Glazers spent fuckin 130M on a CB and a RB. Some 55M on a midfielder and another 40M this summer for another Midfielder. FSG during this time barely spent even 20M ffs...

@L M100 whatever the club was worth, is all the debt for the club. Basically they came they bought and then put all that money payable at the cost of club only. They only see a brand, not a football club. No fucking future. Can you seriously say, Sanchez was brought because they had a plan?
Our debt is literally bigger than our net worth. We're a paper tiger, one bad financial year away from completely collapsing, and you want us to be grateful for it? What the fuck is wrong with you?
We need to make signings more for depth and not to our starting 11. We’re linked with Daka, Sarr and Thiago and if we somehow get all three of them this window, we’ll be ok for backup. I would love to get Daka because he got 30 g/a in 31 games in the Austrian league and he’s only 21. Sarr would be amazing and him and Mane get on really well in the Senegal squad so he’d have someone to talk to if he did sign. And Thiago imo is one of the best midfielders in the world right now and to get him to replace Gini would be perfect. We already sorted out our LB spot by getting Tsimikas so all we need is a creative midfielder to replace Gini (Thiago) and 1 or 2 backup attackers (Daka and Sarr)
The owners have invested huge amounts of money, and it has paid off with both trophies and revenue, so I understand them being reluctant to splash the cash.
@Jay Anthony @liv 125 I mean about the investment in stadium, facilities and players, it has to be all counted together. Did you watch the video? I think he mentioned that.
@liv 125 well okay then, idk. Obviously selling Coutinho helped the balance sheet but otherwise I think FSG has invested, but of course not Man City levels of money
i think signings are coming. I think we have to offload Grujic and Wilson before making any big signings. While Thiago would be a great signing I think a back up to Trent is more desperately needed. There isn't anyone who can cover in his position adequately (at least in terms of his attacking output; Gomez is obviously good defensively). Although maybe a more creative midfielder would help with the problem (although hopefully Keita can stay fit; when he gets a run of games he usually starts to tear it up and can provide a more incisive edge). We do also need a centre back to cover Matip and Gomez who have both suffered injuries. I know Fabinho can deputise there but I'd rather have him in midfield. Perhaps Minamino has finally properly arrived after bagging his first goal in the community shield. As I understand it, he can play multiple positions and can slot in up front.
Minamino played great when he came on against arsenal. Was constantly looking for gaps in the defence and looked sharp. Just needed time to assimilate with the squad, guy above me doesn’t know what he’s on about
Andika DR I am pretty sure he will be, improvements were seen against Newcastle last season and him and Keita made all the difference against arsenal (although minamino was better there was a brain fart moment for Keita when he lost the ball at the back and regained it only to lose it again)
0:45 £60m target Sancho? Go about twice that number Alfie. More like €120m with his agent wanting a fee closer to 50m taking the overall cost comfortably over 150m
Hi Deependra, no doubt, but £60 million is reportedly what Man Utd were willing to pay up front, so it would make sense that they'd still have that £60 million to invest, which is what I was alluding to in terms of future business. Sancho may be worth £100 million+, but that doesn't mean Man Utd are going to be spending that much on anyone else, otherwise they probably would have just signed Sancho. Hopefully that makes sense.
@@HITCSevens I don't think the reason for us not signing Sancho is lack of fund to finance the deal but more to do with having other positions to fill as well as the club not seeing the value in Sancho at North of €150m. Also Man Utd isn't Sancho's preferred destination. We will probably still end spending around 100m this window but hopefully we have seen the sense in not buying Sancho or Grealish at huge huge fees that could be better spent elsewhere.
u kidding? Coutinho sale got liverpool the power to buy virgil, alisson and Fabinho, its smart recruitment which converts 10-20m players to 100m+ players, michael edwards is the pillarstone of liverpool and its success.
Sold Suarez, Coutinho, Sterling, Aspas, Torres, Lovren, Ings, Moreno, Lallana, Sakho, Benteke, Mignolet all under these owners. Not to mention the several others. 560m in sales since 2014 more than any other premier league club. Literally wtf are you talking about
Its not that we don't have any money. We're not buying because the future is uncertain and spending tens of millions on players would be irresponsible. United, Tottenham and Everton have borrowed money for transfers which is ridiculous considering there still won't be fans attending matches. All these clubs also have plenty of catching up to do while we are still on top. Curtis Jones, Naby and Minamino will prove their worth thus season too.
Cant Be Assed its an area of liverpool and where we have our youth training facilities. When the £50 million redevelopment is complete our first team facilities will move from melwood to there as well.
Its not that Liverpool doesn't have money its just the owners have sense to not spend stupidly where it may hurt them later in the future. Part of why it took Liverpool 30 years to win another top flight domestic was due to bad financial handling before. Most of the players Liverpool have bought within the last 5 years have appreciated past their cost. City has bought several in the same span that have depreciated. They spent barely 90mil on defense this how much city did and yet city is still spending on defense. Fans are too reactive of whats going on outside their club without putting it into context.
Liverpool does not buy great players, they make players great. So that’s why Liverpool aren’t big spenders they only bought tsimikas and some youth academy players to make them great like how Klopp paid only 8million for Robertson and now he’s the best left back in world Football in my opinion.
This team peaked in 2019, across the 2nd half of 2018/19 and the first half of 2019/20. Salah, Mane, Henderson, Wijaldum, Milner are all getting on a bit too. They could win the league again but if they finished 4th i honestly wouldn't be surprised.
You're talking out you're arse peaked for half of a season, they were consistent until we'd won it, people crying about Athletico are pathetic, few teams go to 3 finals in a row it's a crazy ask and Athletico have the perfect style to beat us, if rather play Bayern, Barca, City so on than Athleti because they are more open. That is just a stupid argument, no one is making, full straw man right there. people would like to buy 1 or 2 players at 50 or 60 million net spend in total, (not per player but 50 or 60 million for 2 players together.) to improve the team.
Who the fuck has ever spent 500 million$ in a transfer window tell me please? I agree the stance on Thiago. But things might change if Barca comes knocking for Gini. While the idea of adding just one big name after being crowned is valid, we must not forget that we also released some squad players (Clyne, Lovren, Lalana). Minamino and Jones might be able to fill in for Lalana, Neco for Clyne, but I don't see any young player ready to take Lovren's fourth choice CB cover. Man City slipped to an unimaginable level last season because they didn't replace Kompany, and their squad depth in CB wasn't good enough.
This honestly makes a lot of sense I really think we just need to bring in a few new players so we can rest our starters more. We need to bring in a back up striker or CF for Firmino because he played nearly match in the last 3 season. I would love to bring in Thiago yes £30 million but he’s 29 he’s a great player but if we could spend that money on a under the radar talent who’s a few years under around 23 or 24 we could make profit if they ever want to leave because they could be possible 27-28 or so on. I also think if we could off-load players like Shaqiri and Harry Wilson and possible Woodurn it would be really good for the team and fill those spots with current talent that we could really develop. But this doesn’t need immediate impact. I personally would only bring in a new CF Because there possibility Origi is leaving. Also Minamino is still adapting to his role he also can cover out wide but we need to bring in a CF or ST who are 25-26 to give Firmino a breather.
I feel that it's great that Liverpool look to youth more, I would like to see 2 or 3 more Liverpool academy graduates come through the ranks for you guys

Liverpool have only broken the British Transfer Record once in history and that was when they got done over by Forest for Collymore the same summer as Arsenal had just broken the transfer record themselves for Bergkamp. On the other hand 3 clubs have broken the British Transfer Record BUYING Liverpool Players - Hamburg for Keegan, Juventus for Rush and Barca for Coutinho. In 1981 Man U bought Bryan Robson from WBA for 1.5 million, then a record. In 1995 Man U bought Andy Cole from Newcastle for 7 million becoming the first English Club to hold the record since themselves 14 years earlier! Arsenal and Liverpool both quickly broke that record later that year before Newcastle bought Shearer in 96. Since 96 Man U have held the record for 7 years breaking it for Veron, Ferdinand and Pogba. Chelsea have held it for 2 years after the Shevchenko deal. and City held it for under a year after buying Robinho from Madrid before Madrid then bought CR7 from United and Bale from Spurs. It's currently held by Barca for Coutinho which Havertz to Chelsea is not going to break.
As a Redsfan from Germany i´m not getting nervous. They team is still together and the top players are still in their prime. We need 2 maybe 3 signing to bolster our backup´s (especially if Gini leaves for Barca) but other than that we don´t need many major signings. With much money spend in the last few years it´s understandable that we take a season off and not spending big this year. We also have some youthplayers that could be integrated into the first team and serve as backup against smaller clubs or in Carabao/FA Cup like Williams, Jones, Wilson, Brewster and Elliot. I also don´t see a lot of PL clubs spending a lot. Sure Chelsea does but they come off a season where they couldn´t spend anything due to the transfer restriction. The Manchester clubs also spend money like pretty much every season, so no suprise there and finally Tottenham who had a horrible season and nearly missed out on qualifying for the Europa League after getting Champions League the past seasons.
We spend nothing last summer and won the league. I just want Thiago and maybe someone else . Then I’ll be happy. We already have a great squad but lack a top quality centre mid/attacking mid.
Mike Kennedy Keita isn’t good enough the last 2 years he hasn’t shown enough to be the main midfielder he would great along side Fabinho and Thiago then Ox and Henderson can rotate
Counter argument: Liverpool won the league last season by 18 points. The closest competition other than City in 2nd were United, Chelsea, and Leicester, all within 3 points of each other, with United and Chelsea both on 66. That is a 33 point gap from 1st to 3rd. Liverpool's thinking (I would argue) is that they don't need to go spend crazy because we already have that gap. They can get better internally and more players are building up to being solid parts of the squad (Curtis Jones has been pretty impressive). Chelsea, for example's sake, were hit with a transfer ban that prevented them from doing any business for the one full window. They locked in Ziyech, and so spent no money really in January either. So they've been going ham since to make up for lost ground. Liverpool don't *need* to be spending big money. City will be competitive as usual, and Chelsea and United are trying to close that gap. Arguably Chelsea has (how well the signings work together remains to be seen, clubs have spent huge before and never settled into a rhythm), so the onus was on other clubs to try and go in and become competitive. At the very least Liverpool, and I would say City probably too, were sitting pretty after the season ended. 33 point gap from 1st to the 3rd best club last season. Why do Liverpool need to spend big? Just because other clubs are? Really just because Chelsea are? Sancho to United hasn't happened, 48 mil for Van De Beek isn't all that 'major.' Chelsea go in for Werner, Havertz, Chillwell, and Ziyech, get Silva and Sarr on frees. Because they needed to do that to be competitive. If clubs feel the need to spend big for compulsion, whether out of competition with rivals or out of expectation, that's how you get a Barcelona-Coutinho disaster. I am perfectly content with Liverpool only signing Tsimikas so far. We don't need to be spending big just because other clubs are, if anything it's smarter to not do that. Wijnaldum to Barca sounds likely, if that happens then Liverpool bring in Alcantara (or a comparable midfielder if Alcantara doesn't work out), but where do Liverpool need to spend elsewhere? 55 million for a backup for Firmino? What is the point of that? At this point, Liverpool only needs to go in big if a big player leaves. So if Salah, or Van Dijk leave, and I don't know why they would under present circumstances. I hate how people bandy this argument around like its a legitimate indicator of anything. Liverpool won the league by such a huge margin that fans saying just because Chelsea go in that Liverpool should (or that Liverpool is cheap, or whatever it is) is absurd. Chelsea needed to make up that 33 point gap and this window is how they are trying to make that happen. 33 points is massive as a margin, and that was just 1st to 3rd. That is how dominant Liverpool and City have been. It is on other clubs to spend to catch up.
warrior fight. I recall when Chelsea once finished 37 pts above Liverpool, the next season it was 19, the season after that 4 (or was it 7), anyway, point is things can change pretty fast.
@@perryspassage9474 I don't see that that has to do with what I was saying. Also, Liverpool aren't a "rich" club because they aren't state-subsidized by an oil power or funded by a Russian oligarch. The point is that, in this moment, it is wiser for Liverpool to not spend just out of media competition. Just because Chelsea is pouring money in doesn't mean Liverpool needs to. That would be a stupid response for them to have.
@@warriorfight111 I think you misunderstand me. I'm not saying Liverpool should be spending. Who am I to tell Klopp what is best, who is anybody to tell him what he should be doing for that matter. JH ended the long "curse of the bambino" and brought a lot of happiness to Red Sox Nation. Liverpool is really fortunate to have an owner who really cares about long term prospects for the club and giving the fans something to rally around.
Bit crazy to mention chelsea spending without bringing their net spend into it, because it actually makes them fairly similar to Liverpool! They're basically using the same reactive strategy as Liverpool did when selling coutinho (and a host of other smaller sales just before and after.) They've sold Hazard and Morata Alone for 130+ Mill (more to come with add ons,) so suddenly the 200mill "spend" doesn't seem such a huge outlay. They've both spent and sold huge numbers in the last 3 odd years, but their net spend (the only sensible number to refer to when looking at "spending power") is only around 40-50mill per season. The one difference we're possibly seeing is that Chelsea are prepared to act before their sales. They currently have anywhere between 3-6 players readily available but, whereas liverpool prefer to know the sale has happened (and shift the salary,) chelsea seem like they are prepared to spend first and hope to push the through the sales by next summer at the latest.
Im glad lfc are not spending big, when you spend big expectations are higher. Klopp is a genius and is only taking players he knows will fit with the mentality of the club.
Nice one. Please do as you suggested in (Why football is the most popular sport) 7 countries most likely to win FIFA world cup in future that haven't won already. Reasons such as rich history, growing popularity, large population, etc (eg, USA, Netherlands, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria)
I think Liverpool has the most money to spend after City and Chelsea but they’re being careful with it which is really smart. They don’t necessarily need to spend money because their current squad won them the league by 18 points and if there is a second wave (which is very likely) they will be the most prepared for it

Great video. It's almost as if Liverpool owner is running the business the way it is meant to be run.
RIGHT...!!!

We can buy those excellent backup players while staying within our means.

i think signings are coming.
Imo minamino is not good enough for liverpool
Minamino played great when he came on against arsenal. Was constantly looking for gaps in the defence and looked sharp. Just needed time to assimilate with the squad, guy above me doesn’t know what he’s on about

£60m target Sancho? Go about twice that number Alfie. More like €120m with his agent wanting a fee closer to 50m taking the overall cost comfortably over 150m
Hi Deependra, no doubt, but £60 million is reportedly what Man Utd were willing to pay up front, so it would make sense that they'd still have that £60 million to invest, which is what I was alluding to in terms of future business. Sancho may be worth £100 million+, but that doesn't mean Man Utd are going to be spending that much on anyone else, otherwise they probably would have just signed Sancho. Hopefully that makes sense.
@@HITCSevens you should pin this reply as everyone is going to ask you this

Its not that Liverpool doesn't have money its just the owners have sense to not spend stupidly where it may hurt them later in the future. Part of why it took Liverpool 30 years to win another top flight domestic was due to bad financial handling before.
The last two friendlies have shown that Minamino is possibly the Firmino backup you're looking for.
Nigel Guest it really has he’s really impressed over the last few games just took him a while to settle to the English game

Chelsea are the best club in London. So how come the are below the North London Europa league participants are above them
@@lmads8023 well they have a bad coach and spurs as well as ars have invested well and plugged defensive holes. They also are organized and have players fit with two very good strikers.
@@abhiss6705 bad coach? 4th in the league without buying a player. And losing the best player. That is what a bad coach achieves?
Arsenal isnt coming 4th. No fucking way.
1st place is a toss up between Liverpool and Man City, unless City actually signs Messi. In that case, even as a Liverpool fan I will have to favour City.
Chelsea already have a strong base from last year and they've added to that. Might take a few months to get them to gel but by the end of the season they will have turned into force. 3rd place.
Leeds wont finish in the top half. Palace might endure a relegation scrap. Even with Zaha. I see Spurs in the top 4 tbf Mourinho is always good during second season.
It's bs Liverpool do have money it's just they don't want to spend it. The owners are Americans so they have a different mindset. The way they look at it is if u can win the champions League and premier League with that team you don't need new signings. That's their mindset. Plus they are business men

It's currently held by Barca for Coutinho which Havertz to Chelsea is not going to break.
isn't Neymar the most expensive signing?

The Reds dont need Thiago. Let's get Keita firing this year
Mike Kennedy Keita isn’t good enough the last 2 years he hasn’t shown enough to be the main midfielder he would great along side Fabinho and Thiago then Ox and Henderson can rotate

That would be a stupid response for them to have.
someone summarise this pls
@@pe1893 tl;dr Liverpool don't need to spend big just because other clubs are when their dominance was so significant

Very interesting! Thanks for the breakdown. It confirms for me that for a club to achieve success, it starts with the owner. If it’s not the right match, it won’t be sustainable.

tbh we have gotten very lucky with injuries to that front 3, did any of them actually get injured? if they did it wasn't for very long. LFc fan and its cliche but I think this is the season where it will unravel abit because the squad does need more quality to keep improving etc but they literally are resting on their laurels this time regardless of the covid thing. i agree about thiago I really do, its very rare at a club now where you get a player who can instantly challenge and play right of the bat in the first team and make a difference/ this window really demines the season in my eyes because you forget lfc have just won 4 trophies in 13 months but that can only keep on happening if that squad improves and its freshened up. i say 3rd or 4th this year.
If wijnaldum is going then we need to sign thiago. Also we need a few backups and a big signing if we want to defend the title
Sick of this comment
It's not luck. It's smart investment, remember we were about to sign Fekir, what happened?
That's right we pulled out as we found out he had a history of injuries keeping him out for ages, our current players do not.

Bit crazy to mention chelsea spending without bringing their net spend into it, because it actually makes them fairly similar to Liverpool! They're basically using the same reactive strategy as Liverpool did when selling coutinho (and a host of other smaller sales just before and after.)
They've sold Hazard and Morata Alone for 130+ Mill (more to come with add ons,) so suddenly the 200mill "spend" doesn't seem such a huge outlay.

I think Liverpool has the most money to spend after City and Chelsea but they’re being careful with it which is really smart. They don’t necessarily need to spend money because their current squad won them the league by 18 points and if there is a second wave (which is very likely) they will be the most prepared for it
Nah United have more money than us.
