I was in college 50 years ago when Roe V Wade was decided by the Supreme Court. There is one HUGE difference between then and now that I have observed. Now BOTH sides are speaking up. There were a lot of people against abortion outside the Supreme Court today and supporting the decision. I noticed many of them were women. And there was a large crowd supporting abortion too. The HUGE difference is 50 years ago I never heard one single anti abortion woman dare to speak up. In fact on my college campus or anywhere else did I ever see ANY anti abortion people speaking up. They existed back then but because they were such a tiny fraction of the population they kept quiet. Back then the pro abortion women were a lot more militant and violent than now. They would have attacked and probably killed any woman who was vocal on my campus who spoke up against abortion. Those against abortion back then actually feared for their lives. I knew a girl in my college who was a very religious Christian and very against abortion. I asked her why she didn’t protest the Roe V Wade decision. She told me, “Are you nuts, if I protested the decision I would be killed by some crazy pro abortion woman.” Back 50 years ago anyone who was anti abortion did not dare speak up or they would have been killed by crazy nuts pro abortion women. Times have changed and the anti abortion people are vocal now and don’t keep quiet in fear of their lives. Back then 50 years ago militant extremists like AOC would have killed any woman who dared speak up against abortion. But no more.

What you experienced certainly wasn't true on most American college campuses back then. I was a student at U.C. Berkeley at the time, and there was a large contingent of right-to-life (the pro-life movement's name back then) students. I'd say 2/3 of them were women students and a few faculty and some community members. There was a large and vocal pro-choice movement as well. There were no instances of either side committing violent acts against the other, that I am aware of. Obviously, the two sides weren't best pals, but each refrained from violence against the other. 🤗🏵

I was in college 50 years ago when Roe V Wade was decided by the Supreme Court. There is one HUGE difference between then and now that I have observed. Now BOTH sides are speaking up. There were a lot of people against abortion outside the Supreme Court today and supporting the decision. I noticed many of them were women. And there was a large crowd supporting abortion too. The HUGE difference is 50 years ago I never heard one single anti abortion woman dare to speak up. In fact on my college campus or anywhere else did I ever see ANY anti abortion people speaking up. They existed back then but because they were such a tiny fraction of the population they kept quiet. Back then the pro abortion women were a lot more militant and violent than now. They would have attacked and probably killed any woman who was vocal on my campus who spoke up against abortion. Those against abortion back then actually feared for their lives. I knew a girl in my college who was a very religious Christian and very against abortion. I asked her why she didn’t protest the Roe V Wade decision. She told me, “Are you nuts, if I protested the decision I would be killed by some crazy pro abortion woman.” Back 50 years ago anyone who was anti abortion did not dare speak up or they would have been killed by crazy nuts pro abortion women. Times have changed and the anti abortion people are vocal now and don’t keep quiet in fear of their lives. Back then 50 years ago militant extremists like AOC would have killed any woman who dared speak up against abortion. But no more.

What you experienced certainly wasn't true on most American college campuses back then.
I was a student at U.C. Berkeley at the time, and there was a large contingent of right-to-life (the pro-life movement's name back then) students. I'd say 2/3 of them were women students and a few faculty and some community members.
There was a large and vocal pro-choice movement as well.
There were no instances of either side committing violent acts against the other, that I am aware of.
Obviously, the two sides weren't best pals, but each refrained from violence against the other. 🤗🏵

Being a devout CATHOLIC, Nancy, you should be happy that unborn babies, especially tiny, defenseless, females being denied their right to protect their bodies, (their body-their right, remember?) now have a better chance at freedom/life than their mothers did. Is it the alcohol???
What does being a Catholic have to do with anything? Catholics also mandate to feed the hungry, house the poor, and don't rape children but here we are, with hungry and homeless children while the church sits on $4 BILLION Euros and just moves rapist priests from one church to another so they aren't prosecuted.
ok, abortion is much more than supporting your views on the "Bible". No woman wants to get unwanted pregnancy or get abortion. But poverty and lack of facilities or good family makes women go for abortion. It is important that women have the right to choose what happens with their bodies. If women are not allowed to have abortions, then it might lead to many mental and physical health problems and also death caused due to pregnancy complexities during delivery.
Praise God! Now the battle begins in the states. Be active in electing godly men and women for political positions in your state.
