I watch Linus Tech Tips, Dawid does Tech, and Toasty Bros regularly; but their pricing is always consistent to their respective country SRPs, compared to the PH where 2nd hand markets are equal or even more than the rated SRP by manufacturers. I would suggest that since this channel is convenient for us Filipinos as well since you guys know the downs and ups of the tech trade here in the PH compared to foreign youtubers where their markets are usually balanced, add a Ph peso local pricing beside your USD price as well to help us be informed of current local gpu supply and pricing. Looking forward to more of your videos!
Here’s an idea. Perhaps, a guide on which brand and brand type is good to buy or avoid. Each brand has too many branches with differences in coolers. Maybe something to help especially people confused of the card choices or why other brands and brand sub types are priced higher? Thank you nonetheless for the video. :)
God if people say customer keyboard is a rabbit hole , I swear GPU is much worst . I got a 2070 to 2080 to 3070 to the 3070ti. I dont even think Ill ever be contented even if I had a 3090ti
Watching with my 1070ti, currently paired with R5 2600 but planning to upgrade CPU first R5 5600x. I mostly play MOBA(Dota2) and some AAA RPGs. Haven't found a reason to upgrade my GPU yet since Im on 1080p gaming. Unless it willingly gives up on itself lol. There's a reason why the most nuimber of pc's on steam still uses a 1060, I game at my old predator laptop(1060 predator) and it still holds up well. Basically the best buys are in the 6s. imo
I beg to disagree with RTX 3050 being faster than the old 6gb RTX 2060. It is not. RTX 2060 is in fact 14% faster than an RTX 3050. Better do more research or at least benchmark a little before conclusions. I understand the hate against a 2060 due to its poor rtx performance, but it is not short on overall performance as it dominates most 1080p cards even up to this time.
Most of the point of comparison here is on gaming which I totally understand. How about non-gaming uses of the GPU? I'm looking at the 1660 Super, 2060 (12GB) and 3050 for Davinci Resolve, learn new stuff like 3D rendering and machine learning(not sure if this is GPU intensive), which one is the better pick assuming the price is more or less similar 1-2k difference? It will also be used for gaming but I don't know which titles I would be playing(tagal na kasi ako hindi naglalaro ng games sa PC haha). Paired with the old Ryzen 5 2600 and I'll probably buy a Ryzen 4500, 3700X(kung meron pa) or a 5000 series in the future.
I have been wanting to do more videos on hardware for video editing but I wonder how many people are using the free version of Da Vinci Resolve (which does not support GPU acceleration)
May I suggest to consider the compatibility of GPU with the motherboard chipset. I had an old i5 running with Intel H61 chipset mobo, and the only compatible GPU available is GTX 1050TI 4GB variant. It runs Genshin Impact at mid settings and it can reach 70-90 FPS depending on internet connection strength.
best way to buy 2nd hand parts is kung matest mo with your own cpu/pc onsite sa seller. another thing is seller waranty kung makapag provide sila nun then better for the buyer.

may I also add Higher fps is obviously better but 60 fps is playable no matter how people look down on it you don't need a high end gpu for competitive games like cs go, valorant, dota 2, lol since these games are cpu intensive especially for 1080p. Heck 5600g apu would give you more than 144 fps you might also want to consider AMD gpus. These gpus tend to lose against nvidia cards in especially in 4k but not that much and are priced lower 4090 is a real beast making 3090ti look like a low to mid range gpu and a lot of people are already dumping at least planning to dump their high end 3000s cards so expect more 3090ti, 3090, 3080ti, 3080 and even lower cards flood the used market which will make 3000s cards a lot more cheaper in the coming months. I have seen some 3090ti priced at 60,000 pesos ( I have seen one priced at 40,000) and 3080ti as low as 25,000. Also keep in mind that AMD would soon launch their new gen gpus which I hope would drive prices of not just older amd gpus but also older nividia gpus even lower. Best I can suggest is wait a couple of months after AMD releases their 7000s series, I believe that would give consumers the best prices on older cards

Thank you HWS sobrang nostalgic anyway my first gpu when I was a student back then the Nvidia FX5500 agp pa then hanggang sa may nalalaman na sa mga hardwares upgraded to 9000 (GT series) GT 250. Got also radeon cards as years go by. But now still using my GTX 1060 (GB) and I really love this card. The good things is di na nag lalaro masyado because of busy life kaya as of this moment wala pa ako balak mag palit pa.

Nice, nostalgic yung 700-1000 series. I remember using 710 on valorant and it runs, although lag ng first two rounds. Sabi nila ngpapainit muna. I also remember the 710 runs better than 1050ti sa minecraft. Not sure if mali lang yung settings but if maraming spawn yung playmates na mobs lag na sa 1050ti. I enjoyed these cards nonetheless. Sa totoo lang nakakapaglaro ako ng modern games @4k reso at full speed using my gtx 1060 6gb. How? Syempre using a Nintendo Switch emulator (Yuzu)., kahit PS3 at Xbox 360 pa yan kayang kaya ng 1440p to 4k reso. Meron akong switch lite na ginagamit ko lang kapag gusto maglaro ng nakahiga pero damn, sobrang ganda at sulit maglaro ng 4k sa Samsung 43" tv ko gamit lang ang gtx 1060 6gb. i3 10th gen lang ang naka pair sa 1060 ko at para sa combination na yan, wala na ko masabi dahil nakakapaglaro ako ng 4k using those cheap parts. :) Wag kayong mag alala, yang mga lumang 900-1000 series gpu nyo ay maeenjoy nyo parin basta wag nyo lang limitahan ang sarili nyo sa native pc games dahil talagang sasampalin ka ng limitations ng hardware na meron ka pero may ibang alternatives, idiscover mo lang :)

The 1060 variants have huge difference aside from the memory (3gb vs 6gb) the 6gb has more cores and NVIDIA since then reared its ugly head why so? because they slashed the cores and still called it a 1060 where it could've been a reasonable 1050ti with 1gb less. Scummy NVIDIA got away with that and still to this day boning consumers.
The FPS numbers are so misleading, like in GTX 1080 at Cyberpunk on Ultra it can only reach about 40 average (not 60 like you show in the video). Please fix those to prevent misleading buyers. Reduce the scope of this video too, no one likes to go through obsolete cards like the 700 series since drivers are no longer supported for those, only include those that are relevant and worth picking up. Would even suggest to only include 10 series and above (960+ is okayish, not 950). Never heard reviewers say 3070 ang best value ng 3000 series and it never was the best value, the 3060 Ti takes the crown as the best value, since for a 3070 you pay 25% more for ~10-15% performance from 3060 Ti. Also it's not roughly the same performance since it's better in every way, saying roughly the same performance would mean it trades blows with one another, which isn't the case. Not a really good second hand guide, most context is not even focused buying on used market. Video is too long with useless information that second hand buyers won't even care about, like 2080 Ti launch price inflation which doesn't even matter now since used GPUs are priced based on their performance + 0 mention of its place sa second hand market in your video, you can now find a 2080 Ti sitting around 3070 pricing since in terms of performance they are about the same. It doesn't even include a brief price guide that you would see in a used GPU market guide. Like saying a 1660 Super for 8k or 2060 for 10k are the deals to go for would be a good help para naman magka idea yung viewers kung ano ang magandang deal or not.

regarding the 1600 series vs the 2060, RTX is not the only reason to go with the 2060. DLSS is the more important feature, IMO.

The 1060 variants have huge difference aside from the memory (3gb vs 6gb) the 6gb has more cores and NVIDIA since then reared its ugly head why so? because they slashed the cores and still called it a 1060 where it could've been a reasonable 1050ti with 1gb less. Scummy NVIDIA got away with that and still to this day boning consumers.

most gpus have a fan curve, below a certain temp the fans really won't spin - you can change the fan curve with software like MSI Afterburner

The FPS numbers are so misleading, like in GTX 1080 at Cyberpunk on Ultra it can only reach about 40 average (not 60 like you show in the video). Please fix those to prevent misleading buyers. Reduce the scope of this video too, no one likes to go through obsolete cards like the 700 series since drivers are no longer supported for those, only include those that are relevant and worth picking up. Would even suggest to only include 10 series and above (960+ is okayish, not 950).
Never heard reviewers say 3070 ang best value ng 3000 series and it never was the best value, the 3060 Ti takes the crown as the best value, since for a 3070 you pay 25% more for ~10-15% performance from 3060 Ti. Also it's not roughly the same performance since it's better in every way, saying roughly the same performance would mean it trades blows with one another, which isn't the case.
Not a really good second hand guide, most context is not even focused buying on used market. Video is too long with useless information that second hand buyers won't even care about, like 2080 Ti launch price inflation which doesn't even matter now since used GPUs are priced based on their performance + 0 mention of its place sa second hand market in your video, you can now find a 2080 Ti sitting around 3070 pricing since in terms of performance they are about the same. It doesn't even include a brief price guide that you would see in a used GPU market guide. Like saying a 1660 Super for 8k or 2060 for 10k are the deals to go for would be a good help para naman magka idea yung viewers kung ano ang magandang deal or not.
