Hanabie have been together as friends and a group since middle school, except for Sae, the drummer, who joined in October 2020. They began as friends playing Maximum the Hormone covers as a school project practicing in a school basement rehearsal room.💪🏻🤘🏻
Most female metal groups in Japan right now seem to be aiming at the ultra tight, technical, and solos everywhere types of music. Nothing wrong with it, and I listen to them a lot but these young ladies are on a different path. Everything is well put together just not hyper technical, unusual song structures, and we can't skip harsh vocals coming from such a cute and tiny woman. I don't think they will ever blow up like say Band-Maid did, but they deserve any and all notice that they do get. Who knows, in near a decade I could be eating those words.
There is a chance since Maximum the Hormone got super big but we'll have to wait and see with Hanabie. Hanabie is picking up steam though and hopefully they'll be able to start booking their own one mans this year so they won't have to worry about side jobs as much.
Yes, Hanabie will always let first reactors speechless for a while. But they're not a gimmick, they have many great songs (their first and only album to date is really amazing).
I so much more love modern female bands and female fronted women bands . They just gave much more fun ; better stage presences ; more balls than most modern male bands They remind me of the roots of heavy metal when Sabbath; Zeppelin Judas Priest ; Deep Purple started out and just went on stage ; got high as hell and had great times with themselves , the audience and just blew you out ver with their talent So many male bands just think they are greatest dad asked when they are just egocentric posers Omg live women !!!
Finalmente Hanabie... Brava davvero!
Hanabie (pronounced HAHN-a-bi-ǝ) This is what you get when Babymetal and Maximum the Hormone have a love child. They actually started in high school, playing MTH covers. Clearly one of THE new metal bands to watch. Most of their songs are quite pointed, concerning social issues like dating app abuse, drugs, prostitution, cheating etc. “We Love Sweets” is about having an unhealthy relationship to sugar. Members: Vocalist (Harsh, rap)- Yukina Guitarist and Clean vocals - Matsuri Bassist and backing vocals - Hettsu Drums - Sae They just dropped their first EP. Their producer is Gaku Taura, who is a support drummer for Crystal Lake. He has his own studio, Soul Japan.
