Public services! lol the Tories have cut them to the bone.
Cleverly looking like he is gulping air like a fish out of water behind Sunak. Well we now all know why the Tories are floundering about and the smell is disgusting.
As if it really needs to be said again, the party is called "The Scottish National Party". Not "The Scottish Nationalists". The SNP have expressed clearly on several occasions their wish to not be misnamed in this fashion. It's a deliberate attempt to colour the views of the party by associating them with negative connotations of historical nationalism movements. I expect it from the opposing parties, but I'd expect more respect and even-handedness from the deputy speaker! You don't hear her referring to the Conservatives as "The English Oligarchy".
Full of nationalist though?
vote reform or kiss this country goodbye i dont think people realise how much the two main partys are the same side of a coin labour will ruin this country in a big way dont say i didnt tell you so.
@@ChrisMurray-iw9ij the Conservatives are full of oligarchs though... Regardless, the party should be referred to by its proper name in the house of commons. To refer to one party by their proper name and another party by "a description of where they are from and one of their political beliefs" completely undermines the unbiased nature of the position of Speaker.
@@gregarmstrong2500 accepting that nationalism is what they are selling while being sold it is essential to a functioning democracy, this cloak and dagger we are nationalists to a man but don't like it to be said is for the birds
@@ChrisMurray-iw9ij It literally doesn't matter. I'm not discussing the politics of the party. I'm saying that it's not the job of the Deputy Speaker to treat different parties differently.
Everyone in the HoC should all be treated with the same respect by the speaker, and that includes using their party's proper name. It's not that difficult.
Isn't it crazy that the leader of the snp sounds just like the Labour of my youth? My parents would have recognised this too, which is why they both canvassed for them. Stephen speaks for me. Thank goodness there are some good people still in that ramshackle place.
He speaks for me too, and I agree wholeheartedly, he sounds like the Labour Party that I grew up with and voted for all my life. Alas, no more since Starmer stole the leadership.
To some extent, perhaps, except he starts with a fallacy. I have little time for Blair 2.0, but he didn’t actually praise Thatcher, he said she tried to encourage the British entrepreneurial spirit. That was it, he didn’t praise her for it, didn’t even say she succeeded. Why are those on the Left so keen to swallow whatever nonsense & propaganda the Torygraph is spewing?!? It’s so puerile, the Tory client media doesn’t want the country moving to the Left, even the v centrist cusp of the Left, so why believe a word they say about the leader that wants to do that? We should be better than that🏴
The SNP can afford to be a protest party in Westminster and can get away with saying what they want. The SNP are in no danger of having to represent the UK internationally so can afford to protest like this. (Just do the maths. They can only get 59 seats maximum. In a First past the post system it is only a two party system really.)
The SNP can do things locally in Scotland and act like this in Westminster but as long as they are part of the UK in FPTP they will only be a minority group in UK parliament that the government can ignore.
Even if the worst Tory polls are accurate and they only get 77 seats they still outnumber all of Scotland.
The SNP will have to win big in England to actually follow through in UK/Westminster politics.
What was the % of indigenous people in those days? Now it is far less, the trade unions knew in the 70s that joining the EU was have a disastrous impact on the British workforce and our standard of living, that's why Tony Benn and the trade unions were against joining the EU. We embraced the Windrush generation after WW2, we did require help in those days to rebuild our country and infrastructure, so many men died in the wars. However, today, those same people would be against mass immigration because they could see what we can see, we are being replaced with foreign nationals. Now only 70% of the people that live in the UK are indigenous to it and that is shrinking fast.
@@helenspedding-lowe5469starmer is no different from Wilson please explain how starmer is unlike Wilson or Smith or kinnock or Blair?
An excellent right hook delivered perfectly to Sunaks jaw by Stephen Flynn...wonderful to watch and listen!
I find it rather weird that people like Sunak, Cleverley, Patel and Braverman all bang on about the horrors of economic migration while, seemingly, being unaware that they are the descendants of economic migrants.
Because ethnic pluralism is not the same as multiculuralism. Plus you can't really say ''look at a handful of people in high powered roles that are completely integrated'' and use it as an example of how mass immigration is a strength.
@@RifleEyezbut you can point to the obvious economic benefits of immigration.
Oh, and talking about mass migration in reference to England makes it very obvious you only listen to propoganda. We face far less immigration than pretty much any mainland European country. If you spent a minute of your life thinking for yourself you would have found this out. It's a simple Google to realise we ain't facing mass migration, we are facing regular ass migration. Us not being able to handle it is a failure on our part not a failure on the migrants part for thinking our country as better than the shit hole it actually is.
I understand your point here (if not condone) however if you listen to what the MP said he does support migration as long as is it done with long term economic stability in mind.
I’m sure you as an intelligent person must agree with that?
@@BD2784KOP Even Conservatives want this. I mean, I'm not speaking for all of them, but I often find people on the Left (and esteemed Labour flag wavers online) seem to think it's ''all about hating the brown faces'' and that's why people are against immigration.
They do this weird sleight of hand acting like it's either mass immigration or nothing. But as I said, it's not. For a start how about NOT importing entire cities worth of people in every single year (& that's just the documented people) without even the basic infrastructure in place, without all of our own people taken care of, and without any incentives or prompting for them to integrate into British culture? We can work from there maybe.
If you can prove you'd be an asset to the country and fully integrate, nobody really has a problem with that. Which, ironically, is the integration most Leftists experience (considering most are from suburbia and probably had a mate or two at Uni that was an immigrant). Sure you can point to a very, very small percentage of actual Nazis, but their numbers are so exceedingly small and probably counted in the hundreds at best so it's not worth caring about.

You'd think the Tories had contributed to our public services the way Sunak gets on his high horse. You might even believe he'd used our council tax on what he's supposed to. You might even believe the Tories hadn't wasted £100 billion over the last few years. However, you'd be wrong.
100 Billion
This govt is not public-serving, but self-serving:
Sunak's family has benefited from him being a cabinet minister and now a PM.
When he was chancellor, he personally invested in a COVID-19 vaccine company that has paid him £ mills.
Not to mention his wife/father-in-law's company Infosys and the recent fossil fuel companies.........
Every public dept has deteriorated during the past 13-years!
Mind-blowing esp as they are still governing.

£100million? They wasted that in the last week paying out another lump sum to Rwanda for a policy that's had a bolt to the head before it's even left the stables.
£100billion is far closer to the real figure (though with Trussonomics and the corruption around PPE and COVID, even that's likely less than the actual figure)
@alasdairduncan3 corrected, my mistake there.
Spot on and what a breath of fresh air, funny, hard hitting and to the point….. Ouch!
Best PMQ opening line that I've ever heard
Funniest question in general too I reckon.
"contribute to our public services" but what Sunak has left out is you can now only do that if you earn over £38.6K from spring 2024, unless exempt. So if you want a work visa, and an entry-level role is below the new £38.6K (of which there are many) you're now out of options, because of this ridiculous new move from the government! I'm shocked by the jump from £18.6K to £36.6K per year. That's for spousal visas, work visas and more, unless exempt. It's going to limit all jobs that fall below that threshold and cause absolute misery for those who can't meet the 38.6K a year threshold. Unnecessary, cruel and economically illogical from the government!
What happened to Darling Churchill....s😂😂😂
Meadow: I think you forget that the purpose of the move is to STOP them coming here ... more actual DEPENDENTS come here than workers or students ...
If they come earning 18.6K who do you think subsidises them. The tax payer because they can then claim benefits. This is to stop them claiming. Then they never go back to the country they came from!! Spain requires the same amount if you want to live there!
@lynholness5177 they are not allow to claim benefits of any kind, for skilled worker (all professional that are not in the care sector and nhs) are required to pay their own NHS access, it was like 600 per year and now have been increase to 1000, there is just a group who are exempt of paying the NHS fee and those are the care worker and NHS workers. the only way for a professional to claim any benefits is by been here for 5 years on the skilled worker visa, and then applying for the settlement.
People on work visas and spouse visas are not eligible to access benefits. They also have to pay for NHS access; not to mention the sky high visa fees. This is on top of all the tax and National Insurance that they pay through their work. They are being taxed twice essentially and thus contributing a lot more than the average Brit
People who support xenophobic policies like the one we are discussing are statistically more likely to be from low education and low paid backgrounds. Are you one of those perhaps Lyn? How much do you contribute to our society? What's your IQ? How much are you worth to us? I sincerely hope you one day experience the very same callous judgement and discrimination that you are happy to dish out to others @@lynholness5177

In 1951 99% of English residents could trace their British Isles heritage back 3 or more generations, by 2010 less than 50% of England could trace their heritage past 1951. We have many cities where English Natives are a now a small minority. its just a numbers matter. if you allowed unlimited free migration from say, india and china, simply due to how many people they have, you could have 10s of millions of people migrating who even have careers and wages BETTER than the uk average (assuming theyd even want to come here), but thats still not good.
the problem is ultimately this is a matter of national identity and its ties with race and ethnicity. you can say immigrants assimilate and become true brits, and i fully agree, but eventually the country starts to change, and thats only natural. euro colonists to america didnt assimilate into amerindians, and even the ones in south america who often took up the local language, still dressed and ate differently, had different values, a different religion, etc. At what point does it become a different country?

All under one banner, the people across Scotland will exert our sovereign right to dissolve the act of the Union with the backing of the UN and ECHR, who we will take our 2024 General Election vote asking for help in ending all English taxation and rule so our people across OUR NATION can then decide if they wish to join NATO, the UN and the EU or even hold a discussion on the future of the Monarchy in Scotland. Now that is human rights in Action, and we are not staying in a polical Union with England as you now threaten to take our human rights away by leaving the ECHR.
