    Great video, this is the task I am having to do this weekend. 2010 JKU. The out takes were a funny touch.

    Are you pressing on the center of the top of the ball joint with the C Clamp screw to press it in???? If so that will ruin the ball joint it sure looks like your C Clamp screw is pressing on the top of that ball joint in the video.

    Good video. I'd like to have seen a little more info on choosing the press components to push out and reseat the ball joints.

    Great job on your video. The kids was fun to watch. You probably save $1000.00 doing the install yourself.

      Yeah they do have some good stuff! I've just had some bad experiences with some of their stuff.

    Great job very nice. Outtakes were great. I need to do the same to mine think I’ll go with TeraFlex. Maybe it was the camera angle but your swaybar link looks bent🤷‍♂️. Can’t wait to hear a review down the road on the ball joints.

    I have a question I hope you can answer in time. If you don't want to answer it I guess you don't need to.I just had my 2018 jk jeep wranlglers ball joints, and the bearings, and tie rod ends and the whole big bar between the tie rod ends. No I'm not a mechanic You can tell by my part names. I had a friend do it he is a mechanic full-time. And yes we did an alignment. My wife took it to Ohio and before she got there from Indiana to Ohio. It started shimmying sideways when it hit the slightest bump and she almost hit some semis. She couldn't go over 50 miles an hour or it would just be worse. My question is what is the problem. Before everything was changed it had a small vibration in the steering wheel. She was told it was the Jeep shake or whatever it was called. I thought the alignment was off and this is how I found out the ball joints needed to be replaced. So her Jeep is stuck in Ohio. Jeep dealer is full till next week after Thanksgiving. What do you suggest we check? Thank you for reading all this hopefully and hopefully we can find a solution.

    I noticed in video when u are pressing out the top ball joint that you changed the configuration of the press clamp pieces. I went to harbor freight to buy there kit but it doesn’t have the small cylinder u use in the last part of the video. Where did u get the smaller cylinder

    How does your jeep ride with them tera 9550s? I just ordered a pair of 4

    • @RedRockCrawlers
      @RedRockCrawlers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are decent shocks, not fancy by any means. I have the Fox 2.0 res shocks now and they are much better. But for the price of the 9550 they are pretty good.
      Hope that helps

      @@RedRockCrawlers Thanks For the reply! I'm based in the UK so unfortunately Habor freight is off the cards!
      You mentioned that you when through two types of kits that were missing a part that you required.. What was was that?
      many thanks again! Keep up the good work!

      I got 2 other kits before the Harbor Freight kit. I rented them from AutoZone and O'Rielly's not sure what brand they were. The kits were missing a couple of the cylinder spacers needed to press on the ball joint. Hope that helps
