These tricks are much to implement. People always think in a square way, we have a problem getting out of the runway where we can make the run much shorter. Thank you dear
Hi! Thank you for the great videos! Your short and simple topics are very important for beginners, as I am. I've been learning Italian by myself with a coursebook and Duolingo app about a year. I watch Italian 101 periodically, it's a wonderful and helpful channel too. I adore Italy and it's people. I wish, one day, I come to get a voyage through the country using Italian freely. By the way, oggi è il sei agosto))))
Ciao Mr Singh, benvenuto! (*welcome) Unfortunately, I'm currently fully booked and therefore I'm not accepting new students, but if you want to take lessons from me I also have an online course version of my tutoring lessons, that follows the exact same curriculum I use in person with my tutoring students. It includes listening to selected Italian songs, video lessons on grammar and pronunciation, and interactive exercises to practice all you learned immediately. Today i learned the Months in Italian with the help of your this informative and very helpful video lesson..I really love your method of teaching dear Miss Valentina..Thank you very much for your help in learning Italian😊😘❤
Great video, thanks. By the way, the "day followed by month" order is also used in most varieties of English, it's mainly in the US that they regularly put the month first. E.g. today is the 26th of September but in America they say September 26th. Admittedly not a hard and fast rule as some people / countries do use both ways.
@@ItalianTeacherValentina ok I get it. Today is Thursday 2pm. I will make an effort to reply in Italian soon. Thank you. I am so glad I found you. Martin

Hi Valentina, It's normal in English to say 1st of May, rather than May 1st. Just the Americans tend to put the month first. Thoroughly enjoying your lessons as we've just bought a house near Orvieto and need to get up to speed in Italian 😊
Ah! Congratulazioni per la nuova casa, Philip! Orvieto is so beautiful. Thanks for your feedback (most of my students are Americans so that's why I always emphasize this concept) and "in bocca al lupo" for your Italian learning journey! *good luck
@@ItalianTeacherValentina Gracie mille, Valentina. We head out on Tuesday for our first long visit (and plenty of DIY to do, plus lovely meals in Orvieto 😃)
Thank you so much, it was very helpful, you make my way of learning Italian easier, but i didn't understand the one why it's "Oggi è l'8 Ottobre", but not like the others "Oggi è il otto Ottobre"?
I'm glad the video was helpful! We say "l'otto" because "otto" begins with a vowel, therefore we need a different article. If you want to learn more about articles, I have a recorded live class available for purchase on my website, it's a 1-hour class with tons of examples and easy explanations of ALL the rules about articles in Italian. Do you have a video for telling time? Like how would you say 8:15 in the morning? Or 4:30 at night? In Italy do you have AM and PM? Or is 16:45 for 4:45 PM (in the afternoon)?
I don't yet but it's definitely on my list. We do not have AM or PM but we don't really use the 24hr format either in speaking. We just add "di mattina"/ "di sera" or similar expression as needed. Hello Valentina, your videos are very helpful and thank you for sharing the knowledge! I am a beginner, do you have any recommendations of Italian books in Italian-English version for self-study? I would like to book your online class but unfortunately I am living in different timezone so its hard to set it up.
Ciao Khanh, benvenuto! (* welcome) I don't have any recommendations for books as I personally don't like books for learning languages, I often find them too stiff and I don't like the way the curriculum is organized, especially for grammar. Also, they don't provide much opportunity to practice listening and pronunciation, which are crucial, especially at the beginning. That's why for my lessons I've developed my own curriculum that involves listening, vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar, all in small, doable units that are easy to digest and assimilate. I understand that a different time zone can make taking lessons from Italy a problem unfortunately. That's also one of the reasons why I developed the online course version of my tutoring lessons, which follows the exact same curriculum I use in person with my tutoring students. It includes listening to selected Italian songs, video lessons on grammar and pronunciation, and interactive exercises to practice all you learn immediately.
