I went there when they had an open day, fantastic, we went inside the turbine hall when it was operating, so hot and the noise and the feel of the power as the floor vibrated below you. what an experience. Great video

Was a commissioning engineer there ‘67 to ‘70, glad to leave to go back to Yorkshire stations as far too many strikes then, very depressing !
