Lol she’s funny asf. I really enjoyed this video though, especially because she has actual like strong 4C hair like mine and it’s so hard to straighten and she made it so simple.
Yes mine is also 4c but I think it is even more coarser than 4c. A hairdresser once said I have more than one hair growing out of each root. But it was really exciting to see this video.

When you mentioned that you big chopped a year and change ago, I was already slightly excited because I bug chopped around the same time and your hair seemed to be the same length as mine. But then you gave the exact date and said it was December 2016 and I was ecstatic. Girl we big chopped at the same time!😭😭 And my hair is virtually the same length as yours. You don’t understand how relieving it is to FINALLY find a video with someone with your hair length and texture. I’m grateful I stumbled upon this video!!❤️❤️

I tried a silk press, once I put the plastic wrap on, I started sweating like an athlete! So all that work went to waste, I ended up with wet hair 😢
I keep tryna tell folk u can't do everything u see others do. We are not the same-- our hair doesn't behave the same, genetics are different, hormones are different..etc. There are many factors involved. Some are head sweaters some aren't. So yea, one must find what makes sense for them not what sm1 else is doing.

Use the dryer on cool when you use the plastic wrap. Same result as warm, just less sweat!

I'm about 4 or 5 years in and it's about time I straighten mine. I can't wait to see what it looks like. I went scissor crazy last time I clipped my ends and cut off about 4 inches lol.

I know everybody blow dries the hair but it's so much
less tension on the hair if you do a roller set first. The work
is practically done depending on how well you did the roller set,
and then you just flat iron the roots, maybe one pass on the hair, and wallah!
your done, and it looks great with no extra pulling and tugging...

The struggle is real at home trying to press your own hair ! I can’t get the back good with the deman brush so I pop a comb attachment on top and go in after with the brush

A little Q&A, as a stylist, I see you trimmed the bare minimum on your hair which i love so much, but why most stylist choose to trim so much hair on a client's hair? That's one of the factor got me doing my own hair at home, I am afraid of the salon vist big trim. Lol

You can always grow it back if it isn't repairable. Have fun with your hair. Else what's the point?
Ooh boo, no. Original cosmetologist here too. 🤣 Denim brush and vent for clients, loved roller brushing Caucasian hair because it omits having to curl. However, for my thick a** 4C hair, I section into 6/7 , use the blow dryer comb and have the setting on low heat. Before I actually comb through i do the “stretch method”. When i see it’s not reverting back as much, or 1/2 dry, i then start stroking through with the comb attachment. Tedious, YES, but gets the job done. 🤣🤣 You’re so right about that trimming.😂 I trim as I would my clients, but the length I’m at now have my arms on fire and bending my arms in all types of angles while trying to keep my original guide piece. Imma have to give up soon or fall into a blunt cut and leave these layers alone 😭🤣🤣❤️

We have the exact same hair texture for 4c hair - now i know my blowout is going to look good!
My super coily 4c is about the same length as yours. I couldn't do the blow drier and brush, because I end up tearing and ripping off my hair. I prefer the comb attachment with mid-heat setting as long as I take my time starting from the root then gently comb it to the end without breaking it off. It works every time with patience.
