I wish more audiophile purists would come watch this. Three guys in a room with more knowledge of how it was in the room when the record was made. Clear discussion of real technical information with a bit of subjectiveness thrown in. It's just so valuable. I'm glad I've had my LCD-X for about a year now.

@@hummarstraful Exactly. Knowing that the LCD-X is showing me what things actually sound like makes the reference feeling between my speakers and my Xs a little easier to understand. If they sound right, I can use that profile to influence what I'm changing.

Im curious what you think of them, i also have a pair and they’re my favourite set I’ve heard. Only region that could be changed for me is the treble, slightly recessed but it responds to eq so well, that once eq’d it is really hard to beat.

    • @danielhipwell3607

@@callumtravers7512 hey buddy, honestly, I returned them, not because I didn’t like the sound, I just got into the audiophile hobby and found it an expensive hobby to pursue on top of my dj mixing at home hobby I do. I’ve spent like 1500 on music files in the past year or two plus thousands on room treatment and gear. I build all of my own panels. I just got a new pair of rokit 8” gen5 models released a month ago. Love them!

LCD-X is a bit better than VERUM 1,
I must say. I have both.
Verum Bass resolution: nice, a bit overemphasized compared to the LCD-X. Middle resolution: Good and sufficient. The LCD-X offers a slightly more precise and nuanced image.
Resolution treble: A bit intrusive and harsh, but still okay. The LCD-X is finer here. Resolution transients/attack: Great, but the LCD-X has a little more resolution and acts more gracefully.
Both HPs are great, don't missunderstand.
I prefer LCD-X for my taste and audio tasks.

I own the LCD-5 headphones and they feel even lighter than their weight suggests. The premium materials 5:34 make them feel like you are getting your money's worth. Word of warning: If you are an 'audiophile' (yuck) and are afraid of EQ because you can't admit you don't understand it or don't know how to use it, I would skip these headphones (or most any Audeze). Audeze intended for these to be used with PEQ or filters. The stock sound out of the box is not tuned for consumer ears, they are tuned for technical prowess first, with the lowest possible distortion. If you are like me and understand how to use EQ and are not afraid of a little tinkering and testing for a few days to adjust the sound to your preference, these are the best headphones you can buy.

I own the LCD-2 and the LCD-X, as well as the EL-8. The LCD series are all outstanding with my only qualm being that the darn pads tend to fall off a lot due to the double sided tape mode being used to mount the pads. I really wish that Audeze would develop a batter method. Excellent video though!

Hello, i just want to use one earphone and don't want to be tired of switching devices all the time depending on the type of music. I listen to 80% classical and 20% jazz and pop. I have also seen the mm500 so far, and I think the instrument part is quite good, and the vocals are in the front, so the female voice sounds good. Do you recommend other headphones at this level? I think the sound field of the mm500 is okay. For classical music, the instrument tone is not too modified. , the low-frequency dive is enough for jazz. I don’t know if I understand this right?
