Gamex Simmonds but honestly Kobe was in chucking mode that game, took like what fifty and made like 20 or 18 I think. He got hot at the end and put away the Jazz (who needed to win to solidify their 8th seed). It was more just Kobe just taking every shot.
He shot 22-50, it was almost 50%, not bad at all. Ill take 44% any day for 60 points

Kobe was a true basketball legend. One of a kind that impacted so many of us in so many ways. Our entire household crowded around the television whenever the Lakers played and that's not to mention the games we attended at the Staples Center or up here in the Bay Area. As a couple from Cali, born and raised, it's hard to describe how much Kobe meant to us. We were all keeping an eye on Gigi as well, she was on her way. Sorely missed...

This made me cry, thanks for reacting to my favourite player on my favourite team. He won 5 titles with the Lakers during his 19 years, only 3 other TEAMS in nba history have won more than 5. He entered the league at 18 and played until he was 37, he grew up in front of the spotlight and stayed with the same team his whole career. He's the king of LA.
To put it into perspective about how much he's affected basketball, think Jonah Lomu for the All Blacks but on a truly global scale.

This highlight video I haven't seen till now and Wow it's a great one, however there are more to be seen.
I've been a lakers fan since the "Showtime" Lakers of the 80s and then obviously a Kobe fan who played his entire twenty year career with the team ... an eighteen time all-star game starter (in his last one he got the most ever fan votes), five championships in seven trips to the finals and two gold medals for team USA. Oh and his last game he scored 60 points in a comeback and won the game, seriously Who Does that!
Watching your reaction and these highlights brought tears to my eyes, both tears of great memories, joy as well as sadness.

But because he didn’t win a lot, he isn’t. Lebrons career isn’t much different than wilts. So why is he more highly regarded? He’s soemwhere between 5 and 10, NOT top 4. No one in basketball history has a bette resume than MJ, Kareem, Russell, or magic. After those 4 you can put bron, Kobe, and everyone else anywhere u please. But those top 4 are solidified.

Very happy to have this come across my recommended. You sometimes forget how great of a dunker #8 was, before he turned into a full killer #24 black mamba. What an unbelievable transformation and career. I still remember 5 of my friends and I, being hovered over a laptop on a stream, watching him drop 81 on our beloved Raptors. So grateful to have witnessed one of the best to have ever laced them up. RIP Kobe

Not only was he beyond brilliant he was very down to earth and nice guy. For a superstar he was very approachable, good to his fans.
One of the amazing things about Kobe, was that he was able to pull off these amazing hang-time dunks, yet his vertical jump was just over 1-foot LESS than Micheal Jordan (the GOAT). Kobe's vertical was only about 38 inches, while Michael Jordan's vertical was 48.75 inches (almost 49 inches) which is actually still the NBA record. The fact that Kobe was able to have so much hang time in the air and pull off these amazing dunks with only a 38-inch vertical, was an incredible feat in itself.

Young Kobe wearing jersey number 8 is insane. Like he dunks so wild and of course also on his jersey number 24 but jersey number 8 Kobe is very wild. And he is so insane with the buzzer beaters, with the clutch moments. RIP Kobe! You are a LEGEND! Until now, he is my favorite player and i want to be like him but no one will never ever be like Kobe Bryant. You can idolize him 💖😞

There are a bunch of motivational speeches by Kobe online, but I think "Mindset of winner" is the best one. It really gives you an insight into who Kobe was and what drove him. You should react to it.

I love a sick dunk like everyone else, but what I appreciate most about Kobe is his competitiveness and his desire to get better. The man was OBSESSED with being in the gym. Not many athletes EVER can ever match his work-ethic, and I think his scoring and his clutch moments and also his FAILURES are what show that better than a dunk or some crazy layup.
That’s what people love about Kobe. That’s why people miss him, that’s why people look up to him. Every NBA player has inherited intangibles and skills, otherwise they wouldn’t make it to the league, but they have to work to be great, they have to be able to stand over adversity, and no one lived by that and did that better than Kobe.

Kobe is probably the most universally loved sports star. He just oozed class, he was such a great guy. Basketball honestly hasn't been the same since he retired. I love that LeBron, AD and Drummond are carrying his legacy on. Lets go Lakers!!

Something I think is crazy is how sports talk show host never really talked about Kobe as the number 1 player in the league but they are quick to give that title to anyone nowadays like Gianis or Kevin Durant or kawhi, damien, Luca ect and they don’t even compare to Lebron.
(I’m only 21 so I’m talking about the last decade or so of talk shows.)

Around 19:55, I think that year Kobe had about 6 or 7 buzzer beaters/game winning shots. One of the greatest players I've ever seen live. Ridiculously good from when he joined the Lakers. I still remember his years from when he just 18 years old. The man worked his butt off to be one of the best in the NBA ever. Kobe probably one of the best finishers around the basket. It wasn't shown here, but he even once made a behind the back board shot while fading away. Will be missed RIP.

The video barely touched on this so it was easy to miss: Kobe also holds the second spot behind Wilt Chamberlin for most points scored in a single game. Wilt scored 100 points once (unbelievable) and Kobe scored 81 points in his game. He was special.
He holds the #1 imo, because Wilts 100 points was staged, even his teammates came out and admitted it.
If you got to see Kobe play in real life or on Tv you were in for a treat, he was the best in his era. When he died the basketball world died, we dosee much like him any more because the game has changed so much.
Okay. Those were some super sweet highlight videos. I went to the lakers finals game in 2010 in Boston, the tickets were way cheaper and easier to come by. Being a Lakers fan in Boston was no joke. I only got away with it cuz I am 6 foot 6 and 280 ibs. They wants no part of me. I also saw several laker games in LA and at MSG. So I saw loads of Kobe's career live. So it insane to watch the highlights to things I saw happen as they occurred. R.I.P to the Black Maba. You'll always have venom in those veins.
Kobe was so great and legendary that he was getting mvp chants in opposing arenas. That's how ridiculous he was lol kobe ruled the roost and was the best player from 02-12. Man was on a different level. And has the most assists by a shooting guard of all time.

I'm still in awe, I modeled my basketball game after him n Allen Iverson. He slept 4 hours per night for 20 years. Just so he could get more practice in. He was at the track running sprints at 4am!

I mean, holiday period of that 2012-2013 season he was leading league scorer. Then he turned into Magic Mamba, streaking double doubles and triple doubles leading up to the achilles. All that facility from Kobe and that season's team was still terrible overall. Then the achilles. Nail in the coffin.
