what i love about self produced groups is that they know their concept. they’re able to experiment with songs but still have their identity. they know themselves and it’s evident. a very great album from treasure.
YG's strategy is good because it improves their songwriting abilities and makes them a very hardworking team. I can already see greatness for this group. I think they will eventually catch up to being one of the leaders of K-pop, with SKZ and NCT Dream. I predict Treasure will gain a huge boost of fame at award shows once again. Especially MAMA. Plus to add more hype I feel like Baby Monsters debut will be huge and it will hype up all YG groups.
I'm seeing a lot of comments about how treasure is being left out in the 4th generation. But i disagree tho, they're not the type of idols who needs to do challenge with other artists just to stay relevant, their music is very 2nd and 3rd gen. I hope people will give these boys a chance, i swear they're worth stanning for 🥺♥️

If there’s something YG knows how to do is marketing: the way they used T5 to smoothly reintroduce this group new and revamp image and sound was genius. The choices in the production cannot go unnoticed: Clean Bandit similarity and the chorus being Kill This Love sibling. The rapping verse that went from a slow flow to fire triplets and the transition back to the song was INCREDIBLE! (I often do not like how rapping verses feel so forced in Kpop they don’t fit the general sound of the song). The bridge shouting out their “old” image and sound to hang to that sense of nostalgia for the fans. The outfits? SMART choices This reboot has being so interesting to watch and I think YG absolutely nailed it. When they want to they truly know how to put one of their groups on the map.
