    So many poor orphans out there who would love to be in a happy home getting the love these wild animals get that they are deprived of!! Wouldn't it be far more rewarding to give a human child a home than an animal that belongs in the wild ??? Time , energy and love towards a child and giving them a new start in life with love around them would be far more rewarding and many blessings in it too. Worlds gone topsy-turvy 🤪

      I agree with this partially, but the ones my heart breaks over on seeing these videos are homeless animals in shelters. Real pets who will love you given the chance. These filthy, ugly monkeys do not seem to love their owners AT ALL and once old enough usually thank them with violence. And though I do feel bad for kids who are orphans and wish they all had homes, I still believe that a person's best bet for actual, pure love is a shelter pet.
      From what I've experienced of humanity, people do not love. They use, they lie, they cheat, and they're getting to the point of losing any kind of empathy whatsoever. When you go through life as the fat, ugly girl who everyone laughs at and bullies, and who people befriend only to use and dispose of, you learn the ugly side of human nature. And it's uglier than my face (almost, anyway). Most of the genuine love I've received in my life - and nearly all of it - has been from pets. This is why it kills me that they're stuck in cages and euthanized while these things get spoiled.

    People adopt wild animals to feel love by someone or because it's cute or because it's fashion.
    And if the animal becomes dangerous they go to the vet and kill them and say we had no choice. Yes you had. The choice of leaving wild animals where they belong: WILDLIFE.

    When a person gets a pet because of what the pet can do for them or what the pet can bring into their lives, it us a sign of a very selfish person. You should never get a pet unless it is because of what you feel YOU can offer THEM. Not the other way around.

    I really had to laugh at the young couple with their “precious little girl” monkey. They are thinking this is a really cute, little monkey and they probably thought it was a capuchin. They didn't even realize there are different kinds of monkeys. When I saw the baby I could only think “oh no - OMG no! that looks like a macaque baby!” and when the breeder took the couple back into that grimy cage area and proudly said this is the momma and daddy - I saw - yes those are macaques - oh boy, they have no idea what their ‘precious little girl’ is gonna grow into. Serves them right I think.

They are the sweetest coolest and smartest primates! When people remove their teeth it's because they are ignorant humans. Same as people that force them to bipedal walk. Pure ignorance. Black caps, long tailed java macaques, vervets, green monkeys, pigtails, all are awesome primates. Some monkeys are abandoned by Mother. Their are reasons babies end up In human hands and hopefully they end up with humans that are not ignorant as hell. That's when 🐒 get abused!

    My first thoughts were, "Oh FFS, how were these little babies obtained in the first place? What tragedy have they already experienced, so these people could turn them into living (for a little while, at least) dolls? What about their real mothers, who wouldn't have given up their babies willingly. Human arrogance. Human callousness.
    The only time it makes sense to keep a monkey as a "pet" is when it's in genuine need of rescuing. Even then, they should be taken to a sanctuary first, if available. If not, I'd hope those taking in a rescue have its best interests at heart, do their research, follow through on that research, all with the ultimate goal of rehabilitating the monkey and safely returning him/her to as natural of a setting as possible.

    • @vanguard-pv5mc
      @vanguard-pv5mc 10 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Cary Miller it's not silly, and that's not people spouting off a garbage phrase. Exotic animals are discouraged and in some cases illegal because it isn't healthy for the animal in question. When a puppy grows up it will still be an easily manageable animal because dogs have been domesticated a process that took a very long time. When that adorable baby monkey grows up and becomes sexually mature most of the time they turn aggressive. They're wild animals and that wild nature isn't something that goes away over the course of a single generation. Dogs and the like have been tamed for generations, domestication isn't a process that happens in a single generation. it is absolutely bad for the monkey in question to be kept as a pet and may prove hazardous to your own health. Many of them carry diseases and injure their owners. They will become destructive and tear your house apart. They can't be toilet trained and you have to clean up the mess. Many will end up with various neuroses and will demand your constant attention limiting your social life and ability to leave the house for too long. Monkeys are highly social animals, they need a troupe and that environment is nigh impossible to simulate if they're kept as a pet. In no way is this arrangement good for the monkey or the owner and there's a reason why most are given up when they get too old and unmanageable. Keeping a monkey as a pet is a HORRIBLE idea on every conceivable level and have to realize that just because they want an adorable little monkey it is in no way healthy for them or the animal in question.

    • @mehname8597
      @mehname8597 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cary Miller haha or we should be in caves in the wild right now eh =p ? ..I get your point if it didn't hurt anybody or disturb the ecosystem then harm is only with opinionated and theoretical concerns. But a lot of pets are domesticated from breeding so they are "less aggressive" or whatever ..It really depends on what animal your getting and if you can trust no harm will come from keeping it as a pet to both people and all living things concern ..if there's no suffering it's "OK" but not necessary though ..I think a lot of wild animals may in theory be happier as pets because they aren't fighting for their life but most of these animals are complicated to keep so therefore are less happy if they are with an owner he doesn't get their needs...They can also be aggressive seeing they have not been bred so can have mood swings even if they love their owner. But pet's of all kinds originated from the wild anyway.....If somebody was 100 percent sure they weren't causing harm then exotic animals are like striped dogs but not everyone can raise a wild animal right so for both the owner and the "pets" sake it's something to research into ..but humans have so many pets, exotic pets do they necessarily make "better" pets than a loyal dog..? well good luck with your fox I hope it is in well researched hands =p

    Something that makes me mad wit these "My monkey is my child" folk. The people who have real kids seem to think more of the monkey than the kid. Stories where the monkey bit one of the children and the parents made excuses for the monkey or blamed the kid.
    I love animals and connect with them better than people BUT I don't see how parents could allow the animal to hurt the children. The monkeys ARE smart - smart enough to realize "mom and dad" favor *them* and the can bite whoever they want whenever they want.
    Monkey bites their own child and mom scolds the child for causing it. Monkey bites neighbors child, mom explains to neighbor that it had to be *their kids* fault. Neighbors call the cops who shoot the monkey as a dangerous animal.

Robin, when you take your Rxs or buy drugs at the store, does the fact a monkey in a lab as tested on for that product and tortured and killed for YOUR meds stop you from taking your meds or vaccines??? I am betting not.

    They don't necessarily. They can, though. I'm not sure monkeys make good pets. They aren't really domesticated like cats or dogs. I don't know how cats and dogs become like this, but they know they rely on humans and are in turn nice to them and hang around them. Monkeys aren't like this. If you raise a monkey from a young age they will become somewhat like this, but not nearly as much as cats or dogs. I do not think monkeys should be anyone's pet unless that person is very well trained..

    And what exactly would you do with a monkey? Keep it in a glass container like you keep a snake? Or inside a cage? They're dressed up for a reason, to not shit and piss all over the place. And people take monkeys around because you can just leave it at home, or lock it up in the dark leaving it for days not having to worry about it like you can do with a snake. Monkeys are not regular pets, they take as much devotion and attention as children.

    Thank you for saying this. If someone rescues a monkey its a different story. But when they buy them from pet mills or monkey mills then its supporting torture. Same with puppy mills. People don't buy animals who come from any form of breeding institution. Rescue them from shelters or rescue an orphaned animal in the wild. Never hunt animals. Hunters cause baby animals to lose their mothers and this is torture.

  • @ArtMadeUnderground

    That animal cannot possibly live up to those types of expectations. Completely unfair position an situation for them to be in. A person who gets a pet for what the animal can give them instead of for what they can offer the animal , including acceptable habitat for its species, should not HAVE the animal. That's what causes animal hoarding. No hoarder gets an animal to make the animal's lives better only to fill some void inside them. This is a related issue. When they grow up, you will wish you hadn't done it.

    • @ArtMadeUnderground
      @ArtMadeUnderground 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      You missed the point. Completely. Try reading it again. I am making a connection between the twi problems. BOTH involves selfishness. Both involve consideration of the person's needs instead of what is best for the animal. Your a breeder. Your only investment in this conversation is to protect you flow of income. Your opinion is selfish based, worse than anyone else's problem I was refering to. You can throw numbers and I can throw them right back. I don't follow "PETA". I think those people are dangerous. They'll kill people to save animals. I listen to people like Jane Goodall who has spent her life studying the animals behaviors and needs. I have no money to gain by making this statement. Throwing out made up statistics to validate your claims is bullshit. You just don't want to lose business. These people want to put a heavy emotional burden on an animal and when the animal isn't capable of filling their needs, they will become abusive, neglectful or simply give the animal up because they "can't handle it".

    This is so damn irresponsible. Why give these horribly misguided people a platform? Monkeys aren’t babies that won’t grow up. The problem is that they do grow up, and will be horribly maladjusted from being humanized. Adult monkeys want to be adult monkeys, not some old lady’s forever baby. Baby monkeys are cute, but incredibly demanding and a human will always be a poor substitute for its real mother. Just get a dog or a cat. Dogs have evolved alongside humans and thrive as members of a human family. Monkeys are intelligent wild animals, and they want to live monkey lives.

All of you taking part in this ridiculous behavior should go to jail. You are robbing these monkeys of the life they were meant to have. They don't need you to take care of them. No thank you. And forget about a life or going anywhere. You have to have a babysitter that knows the monkey from when it was a baby, they don’t trust outsiders. Also you have to have an exotic vet and they are hard to find.
    Not to mention they will bite or attack you, not a matter of if, it’s when.

It's bloody cruel and unnatural but typical of selfish Americans who want everything for themselves. Other countries ban keeping wild animals as it's cruel but not the U.S. where everything is done to excess and selfishness reigns.

  • @audio91000

    These people are insane. I'm not saying that to be a smartass. These people seriously need help. Monkeys are not surrogate children. There are children all over the world that need homes. Being an orphan and a child of adoption myself, this entire monkey adopting scenario affects me deeply and saddens me. These people want a baby to care for so badly and they opt to get a freaking monkey. An overpopulated and pest of an animal that harbors all kinds of communicable diseases. These people, especially the young couple are in for one hell a rude awakening. When their precious little goblin hits puberty and starts to bite and wreck their house and will tear its diaper off their attitudes will be much different and will end up hating it. Most of these idiot monkey owners do nothing but spoil and coddle their monkeys and never discipline it or make it mind and set a hierarchy. It's absolutely sickening to see the younger couple baby talk their monkey and dressing it in baby clothes and pushing it around in a damn stroller. My God that's embarrassing and pathetic. There are so many children who would love that kind of affection and care and here it is wasted on nasty monkeys who don't love their owners the way they love them. The owner is nothing but a food source to them. It's not love. It's a territorial thing and they rely on them. What a freakshow.....

They were hyper of course (as all young animals are). But they grow up the way you raise them. Problem is, most people baby them and treat them like puppies or kittens. That’s when they grow up to be aggressive. They require a lot of attention, a lot of discipline, a lot of space, a lot of play time and a lot of companionship with other monkeys.
