After looking it up, BRICS is an intergovernmental organization that at first included Brazil, Russia, India and China and was initally just known as "BRIC" when it was founded in 2009, but the S was added when South Africa joined the year after. A few more countries joined this year but the name of the organization was unchanged. The BRICS games are organized/hosted by the organization and its member countries, and the first iterations dating back from 2016 to 2023 hosted 3-5 sports at most. This year's BRICS games are hosted in Russia from the 12th to the 23rd of this month and host 27 sports, and it's true that Russian athletes took the opportunity to compete at them while not being able to compete at the Olympics. They invited 90 countries but supposedly the participating athletes represent 37 at most; participation was not limited to just the countries part of the BRICS organization.
Such a unique and fun to watch routine!
Extraordinario y gran oportunidad para todos los Atletas.,,,❤❤❤❤

Is this BRICS games really a thing? I never heard of it. When will it happen? Who's competing?
it’s because they are not allowed to participate in the Olympics so they made their own Games…
@@linareich3435 Who are the competitors aside from Russians?
@@linareich3435 BRICS games have been a thing for serveral years now
