Not all of this information is entirely accurate. 1) You can not wait a graboid out, in the first fillm it shows how patient they are. 2) How often does it rain in deserts? It never happened in the films or tv series. 3) They sense vibrations with the things they move with, which are more like small legs than spikes. I don't believe in real graboids, just wanted to correct this.

I have seen these before in a documentary about ground tremors, they were largely responsible for seismic tremors had in areas exactly as you describe! there was a town that was being overrun by them & even killed some of the townsfolk there!
