I don’t know why everyone comes to the conclusion that Sunny stabbed Aubrey when, 1. the attack animation is clearly the default slash, and 2. the stab attack would’ve been listed in skills akin to headspace. Also, I’ve already pointed it out in a reply but, despite contrary notion, Aubrey does show her bat swinging animation during the RW fights, insinuating that she does use a _literal nail bat_ to hurt others, not just for intimidation. Kinda hypocritical how she’s so scared of a knife when she uses something that is described to be more lethal.
I don't think bat with or without nails is lethal compared to a knife that with one poke you would be a living waterfall until ur unalived. But idk just correct me.

I think this moment kinda breaks the fourth wall or at least the basic RPG things. Like using a knife during a fight. You almost forget you had it until Aubrey calls Sunny a psychopath and you realised that you ordered him to do something more dangerous than you thought. I actually thought I stabbed Aubrey at this moment because we don't see how we hit her (just a cut like in the dub or if Sunny just stabbed her.) Also in the game Sunny still seems neutral (he never actually talks in the game and you can't see his face outside of battle) so it's kinda scary. And all of that is amplified by the fact that you have no idea what Sunny feels and why he's like that until you know the truth.

Honestly this is the one area where i think Omori falls short of storytelling. Like everyone is disgusted at Sunnys knife but Aubrey is a gang leader that despite being a women of the same age is already quite a good deal physically stronger than Sunny. Shes been in enough fights that her skill can beat uo kel who is considerably larger then her. Plus she already has a nail bat which is almost more if not more dangerous than a knife. So not only is aubrey also armed but she has like 5 people (one HUGE) that can intervene and help her. Ik Aubrey doesn’t actually use it and its just for intimidation but they really should have made a point of that in game because the way its layed out makes it seem like Sunnys life is genuinely in danger.
Yeah, Sunny had no way of knowing that Aubrey wasn't about to seriously hurt him. I feel like his reaction was actually pretty reasonable considering the situation. I feel like Aubrey's hypocrisy could be part of the story, though.

Shes been in enough fights that her skill can beat uo kel who is considerably larger then her. Plus she already has a nail bat which is almost more if not more dangerous than a knife. So not only is aubrey also armed but she has like 5 people (one HUGE) that can intervene and help her.
Ik Aubrey doesn’t actually use it and its just for intimidation but they really should have made a point of that in game because the way its layed out makes it seem like Sunnys life is genuinely in danger.
Yeah, Sunny had no way of knowing that Aubrey wasn't about to seriously hurt him. I feel like his reaction was actually pretty reasonable considering the situation. I feel like Aubrey's hypocrisy could be part of the story, though.
