Sometimes I wonder if going for the cash game action at the WSOP would be a better alternative to playing the tournaments--especially since Sit n'Gos aren't coming back anytime soon and with that, the ability to make a profit selling lammers. I also have you to thank for my latest tostada cravings. Been making chorizo tostadas for lunch all week! 🙃
Funny you went through the same thing I did this weekend at my local card room. The conversation was about hit and running. I can understand both sides. If you’re sitting at a blackjack table and you are up 500 you walk. But at the poker table when your regular and you play against, the same player pool week after week. Hit And running is no good. Love the content hope to see you in Reno.
I dont mind hit n running because it's never a truly strong player. If you are a true pro you know it's good to get in more hours especially in a good game. I've seen games where they make rules to prevent hit n running and it ended up driving away some weaker players and recs
When someone asks a run it twice question, saying whatever you want to do is much less suspicious. I’ve been in that spot before and the guy instafolded when I said “sure”.
Love the vlog Ben, and I can relate to running bad in 2024. Hopefully the 2nd half of the year will full of run good. Question for you if you don’t mind. My wife and I will be visiting Lake Tahoe for the first time in July, and I was curious if you could recommend any must see places or things we should do. We’re looking forward to escaping the Texas heat for a nice week in Tahoe. Appreciate any advice you might have. Thanks!
I have a second home in Tahoe city. You’ve got to get on the lake in a boat. Go to Sunnyside and eat on the deck. Emerald Bay a little bit of a tourist trap. Westshore and incline Village are the best spots in the lake enjoy yourself
Well..... I usually do stay home during WSOP.....but that's because I live in VEGAS! I only go out every week to play poker, but may do a little more during WSOP. At least I have a place to stay and a fridge full of food. Keep up the great vlogs.
I won a fair substantial pot a long while ago and my flighty feet which I usually have at the craps table found their way to my poker table. I actually said, " Big pot! Okay, time to hit and run now." And started racking up. I was expecting people to have some sort of reaction but most people were like, "Cool, cya." "Bye!" "Have a good one" So from my own experience, yeah just be honest and say you're hitting and running lol! Seems to feel better
Most poker players say they only lie at the poker table, but I feel that’s usually also, just a lie. Most poker players are not going to be very honorable people.
NO WAY u can call 100 on the flop and another 100 on the turn and on the river fold to a 200 bet. The run out couldnt have improved his hand all that often at all. Essentially theres no point in calling flop and turn combined 200 only to fold for that same amount of 200. U were also getting about 4 to 1 pot odds to call the river. Its a snap call all day!
Giving you my opinion here…your opening hand (A-10), it looked like to me that your opponent limp called with a pocket pair, bet out $100 to see if you had an Ace, bet turn $100 looking for you to raise if you had an Ace, and bet $200 on the River feeling you either had no Ace, or would reraise if you did…should have been a call.

Our 2/5 and 5/10 in Toledo have been great the last few weeks

The other option is to go to Vegas after WSOP is over. I went the week after, all the tables I played was super soft.
True. Ive done that as well.
Many OMCs left when the better players go out for the WS here in PA/NJ area .

I have a feeling Ben has used the "I gotta go get the kid" excuse before....

Thanks for the Baltimore shoutout. You’re so right about this 💯💯

I play at Live and National harbor, I cant remember vividly him being on any vlogs. Can you point one out and Ill say whats up!
Leaving early up, follows losing invariably. Keep on playing solid
Good advice about the wsop
Ben, will you make another cross country poker run this year?
Give Kayla our best regards and hope to see her soon.
Unfortunately you just described half the player pool at MGM NATIONAL HARBOR LOL
Not complaining… but every time you go to the wrap up, that song makes me think women are the f**king rake and rolled up aces over kings… love it
That's true about the ones who think they are 'pro's going to Vegas during the WSOP....I'm a rec player in Cincinnati...
what was the best wsop advice you ever received?
Do you play everyday?
information is king!
BEN DID MIKE EVER GET ANOTHER JOB IN TOWN MANAGING A ROOM I LIKED HIM
Local tournaments are even _more_ effected. You lose more top local tournament players than top cash game players.
Im sure everyone reading the comments will think this is a dumb question, but what does OMC mean?
Old man coffee. Really tight old guys that are there just for the free coffees and comps and only play JJ+
@@decider9911 thank you sir!
You play wsop online bracelets
don't answer the run-it-once question: it makes it seem like you want a call when you let him know he can have it twice if he wants.
I let the table know as soon as I sit down, I only run it once. I don't care how big the pot is, max pain.
No Kayla update? Hope she is doing well 🙏
Was gonna ask that myself. I hope Kayla is recuperating well. 👍

Nice job Ben!
Hell yeah.
Cha'alt!
Just before leaving….. I need to go home and take a dump
100% best players are not around in June and early July
That first hand you played was a really bad ace or diamonds about 99% of the time.
Over/under 2034 when 3rd man walking is forced to be changed to 3rd player walking
Slightly better than you! Hahahahaha
Guessing you missed Fauci's pitch? And more recent ones at the hearing?
