After losing our car on black ice , I have spent the last 2 years walking everywhere. That's 3 miles each way to work and back, almost 4 for groceries, etc. This would be the BIGGEST help ! What an awesome scooter !

Have had Widewheel Dual new version for couple months, simply the best! Never get tired of incredible off the mark speed, breaking superb once you tweak caliber. Am killer in the big city (Vancouver) now, ride three levels of empty underground parking when its rainy, just for the thrill! Tom, Whistler, B.C.
I believe this is the best out there due to that the wheels won't flat ever and there is a suspension coming to back that up. Also the only scooter taking slopes with ease. It would be nice to win!

The ramp that your standing at with the old tracks is where they use to load an entire train car onto a barge, and ship it to Alcatraz with prisoners inside for security reasons. Oh, I love the scooter too.

OK,...I'm so damn impressed with the hill climbing capability of this thing. It really is a BEAST!!!And having a partner along for the reviews is definitely a plus. 👍
ya man for sure and i feel ya. i weight about 185 and was carrying about 35 pounds of gear and this scooter had no problems. the single motor would probably be fine for most people, but for folks like you and me (and for people who just want more power) the dual drive is pretty dope
I got one of these in the pre-order. Absolutely love mine. Tons of power. Ride is ok, but I am also over the suggested max load. I weigh in between 275lbs and 280lbs. So the suspension has a little bit of trouble with me understandably.
cool to hear and i too have issues sometimes with suspension because of my weight. would be cool if there was a way to adjust preload on future models of this, but because of the design i doubt that would be possible

I just bought the 2019 dual motor one from the manufacturer. It's on sale for 999.00 that's 200.00 off plus free shipping. But they're out of stock so they will be shipping late June and won't receive it until July. Cool thing I also live in San Francisco and was having trouble with my Ninebot es4 on much more wimpy hills. Going to use this for my 4 mile total commute. So excited! I noticed you are reviewing the 2018 version which is missing the key and new accelerator and a few other new features added.
oh right on WT COLLECTOR! let us know how you dig it once you get it! and yes that's absolutely correct. the model reviewed here is the older version without the turn key and voltage meter
we didn't go up Powell but we went up some other pretty steep hills and it was able to make it. of course it slowed down quite a bit but it still made it up

Love the wide wheel scooter! We do art shows all over from Maine to Florida to Sausalito CA and could really use this to get back and forth to the van to get art or frames.
I bought a weak e bike without watching/ researching and seeing a scooter with five times the power and the same price stings lol keep posting I need to make my next investment an educated one
I did it's the Goplus 350w with cruise control off Amazon for just under $400 it's a really good entry-level if you were to review it now I know I'm looking for bigger tires now 12" dosnt cut it where I live, keep up all the great reviews and thanks at the chance for the give away maybe I'll have better luck next time
I just bought a 2019 widewheel dual motor 1000w.. Took forever because i live in honolulu hawaii.. Its the best scooter ive bought.. Fast confortable alot of feet room.. And disc break.. Awsome. It's a daily driven scooter for me so i have so much fun riding it.. I higbly recommand buying one

Great vid, I'm in the market for a scooter, and I live in San Francisco, good to see one that can go up our hills, this is tempting... I'm not super familiar with the tech around scooters, but pretty much every other scooter out there seems to have regenerative breaking, except for this one, curious what that means, how does it compare in battery life with other scooters? I've been looking around at a lot of scooters these last couple of weeks, and overall have found very few models that would fit my weight, and drag me up hills fairly easily (those dual motors sound like they would do the trick), and in a somewhat reasonable price range. This one seems to be a match, hopefully :)
Trust me regenerative braking is nothing special. It helps to slow you down but on my Ninebot es4 I ended up turning it off as you don't glide it's always slowing you unless you're accelerating. Plus the Es4 couldn't stop if you really needed to unlike having a disk brake.
Great video. Can you comment on the real world battery range and how the Wide Wheel handles compared to thinner tired scooters. Would also love to win a free scooter .
it’s so hard to say what the real world range is on any electric vehicle since there’s so many factors that contribute to it. we think the best way to measure range is by the watt hours of battery, and this one is quite a bit higher than most electric scooters, so the range will also be higher. if I did have to take a stab at estimating the range though, I’d say it could be as low as 15 miles if you’re full throttle going up hills and as high as the company’s estimate of 31 miles if ridden more conservatively. As far as handling goes, it handles similarly to other electric scooters but feels more stable and like it wants to stay upright. You have to commit to turns by leaning a little more aggressively compared to regular electric scooters, and I think that’s a good thing

same here! wasn’t expecting it to be that powerful. feels especially torquey which probably helps with the hill climbs and acceleration.
The power of the two hub motors is what I need for my size. Thanks for putting this out here as an option for us guys over 200lbs.

Any chance you can try the Powell St hills between Sutter and California? Those are the hills I'd need to conquer before getting one.
