sadly i agree, i’d like to think maybe it’s because we can’t compare him to his real life counterpart, but man when you see the actors performance you can’t help but think something is lost in his portrayal of the character.
I thought his interpretation of Ric flair was pretty hilarious and over the top and I feel like he was trying his best to catch the southern slang flair has. But his body and built does resemble flair in the 80s.
very first time i heard of the Von Erichs was when i played Legends of Wrestling back in the PS2 days. And the first Von Erich i picked was Kerry simply because it thought he looked the coolest. Fritz Mike and David i remember were unlockables in career mode. I remember my mom watching me play and she first told me that the most of the family had passed away. Then years later i found out back in 2010 it was Kevin that was the Only surviving brother of the Von Erichs.
Got my ticket 10am tomorrow, very excited, heard great things. After watching a few vids for refresher, I realize these men did nothing 1/2 way.. Think Kevin was an ultra athlete in college and had the US not boycotted the olympics, Kerry would have competed for track and field. I wouldn't know wrestling from back in the day if it had not been for the Von Erichs.
Finally some good questions! But gotta say, the actor who played Flair was the only miss of the movie.

I’d like to see you try to find a better knockoff Ric Flair 😂

Sean seems like a perfect director for anything wrestling related.

I loved the movie so much just Kerry wasn’t big enough in the film he was one of the bigger than life characters out of the brothers
