What a coincidence, I'm the one who bought the one that was for sale on eBay a couple months ago! It was $70, but apparently only 5 of them have ever been listed on eBay, and it has sentimental value for me. (My grandma has one that I loved as a kid, and I'm moving out of the country soon, so it's a wonderful reminder of her.) The stairs on the figure do match up with the ones on the base! The original glitter was a kind of green-blue-yellow, so I think the emerald green is a good fit, too!
That is a gorgeous globe. I sang that song to all my little boys. They were too young to know what a sad song it was. At the end of the song they repeat the chorus, which to me reminds us that even though Jacky Paper grew up, there are always little boys being born, so Puff will always have a friend to frolic with.
Thank you guys for doing this! I remember learning the song as a little girl and can still sing along to it. Kinda makes me want my own. The glitter Ally chose really compliments it. Take care guys and see you next episode ♥
Interesting how popular it was and maybe still is. As you saw there was not glitter left for us to see what was in there originally. Glad you like the glitter choice.
Do you have a repair video on removing glass shards from the base? My moms light up snow globe I got as a gift for Christmas this year broke Im weary applying heat and destroying the stitch ornament since most of the glass but just a few pieces are left. I thought of breaking any remaining pieces with needle nose pliers or trying to pull it out? I’ve been looking everywhere but most repair videos I’ve seen all the glass is already removed. If you could help any is highly appreciated, I adore snow globes I have a collection for over 10 years having one break especially it being a gift has been very devastating and I’m hoping to fix it if I can after getting a gist on what’s needed. Thank you for these videos
Hi. We do not have a video on removing glass shards from the base, however, if it is like most snow globes the globe was attached using hot glue. You can use a hair dryer set on low and apply the heat directly to the area where the glass is stuck and heat it up just enough to soften the hot glue then you can use needle nose pliers or tweezers to pull the glass off. It should not be enough heat to damage the base, however, you would know best if the material of the base is too delicate for the heat. You can send some pictures to tespi74@gmail.com. We can take a look and see if there is any other help that we can provide.
We get all of our replacement glass globes by disassembling other old used snow globes that we have for parts. However, there are links in the video description to three companies that sell snow globe parts. If you have to figurine out what size globe you need then the follow information should help: This information comes from: snowglobecentral.com/pages/repair On the base of your broken or cracked snow globe, measure the diameter of the circular opening where the snow globe fits into the base. The diameter is the largest line straight across from point a to point b. Glass replacement globes for snow globes and water balls are most commonly available with diameters of: • 1 1/8 inch diameter base opening = 1 3/4" diameter glass globe • 1 3/4 inch diameter base opening = 2 1/2" diameter glass globe • 2 1/4 inch diameter base opening = 3 1/4" diameter glass globe • 2 3/4 inch diameter base opening = 4" diameter glass globe • 3 inch diameter base opening = 5" diameter glass globe • 4 inch diameter base opening = 6" diameter glass globe
Are you referring to removing the glass globe from the base? We have many videos where we show how we do that when the globe needs to be removed. Or are you saying that we should have a video just on that proceedure?
Yes. We have had globes where there was a residue stuck to the glass. We used a handle sponge and dish soap to clean it. In a couple of cases the water in the globe was low and the evaporation left some mineral deposits on the glass. We used white vinegar to dissolve the mineral deposits.
I’m actually looking for this snow globe. I had one and it was recently lost during our move and after losing my mom in January, I am devastated about it. If anyone happens to have one they would like to sell me or if there is anyone who knows someone who does, please reach out to me, I would so greatly appreciate it!! Thank you!

Aww that is so wonderful to hear thank you for sharing ♥
That is quite a coincidence. So many people have globes with sentimental value. It's great the you were able to find one.

That's nice! That's a good way to look at it.
The San Francisco Music Box Company makes some great water globes and music boxes. Thanks for showing the repair.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for the feedback!
Where do you buy the glass globes. And are they measure by the diameter or of the opening of the perimeter of the ball itself?

So very helpful, thank you so much ❤️
If you get an air bubble in the hot glue
Pop it and put a little more glue
So you don't get a leak
Correct!
How many sticks to seal the globe where the air bubbles in the glue
For an average size globe we use 1 to 2 sticks to seal it. When there is an air bubble in the glue you only need a drop or two to seal it.
I need one! Can you help me find one?
Hi. We just responded to your other comment about this same globe. We will keep an eye out and let you know if we find another one.
Hi what is the size of the globe you usex
Hi. I just measured it. It appears to be a 3.5" globe.
Why don't you show any segment on removeable of the GLASS BOWL you have it on everything else....

We're happy you liked it.
Do you guys ever do one so dirty that you have to scrub the inside of the globe?

@@snowgloberescue8887 thank you for the tip!

@@snowgloberescue8887 that would be awesome! Thank you so much!
I say any kid that wasn't into Peter, Paul, & Mary, was the weirdo!
Agreed!
You did not make Christmas snow globe repair this year because you must have covid 19
Yes, we planned to do a Christmas video but illness and scheduling issues prevented us from getting to it.
