Early 2000 Kaniyakumari Express shifted to Chennai Egmore but people from AJJ Katpadi demanded we need our Old Kaniyakumari train So SR again Started this train as a New Weekley Nagercoil Express VIA same route and this is the Longest running inter state train in SR bcoz it's covering Close to 900KM
