Where I can I find the vice or jig used on milling or drilling the side frame of the car ?
The standard Carvera machine set a really high benchmark for bench top CNC mills with all the bells and whistles. This simplified version should open the price to more hobby machinists and engineers. If Carvera-CAM launches with it, it should be a slam dunk.
Hi, the Beta testing of CAM software will commence shortly, and the official version will be ready by Carvera Air shipment.
🎁 Giveaway time!
We have some exciting news to share with you! 🎉
To celebrate our upcoming Kickstarter launch, the first 100 people to back our campaign, will receive this free milling bits bundle!
How can you make sure you get this awesome freebie? The best way to back as soon as we launch is to go to our Pre-Launch page today and click “Notify me on Launch”. That way, you’ll receive an instant launch notification on Kickstarter and you already have a Kickstarter account.

This looks awesome!
I would love to have this machine, as an engineer who has worked with high-end machining centers professionally and on hobby level with my DIY cnc mill I can tell this machine has a lot of potential for some amazing precision if utilized correctly!
I have zund at work ,its also great machine but wayyyyyy too expensive to home😂
Damn it, my bank account is going to be so upset
Looks good
Is there an upgraded flagship Carvera coming soon? Would really like to see steel/titanium available
We'll make another test with steel soon. You can find previous test video on TH-cam, check it out: th-cam.com/video/VTWt6elB6eg/w-d-xo.html
@@Makera really looking forward to the steel test, mainly what I will be using the carvera for. Interested in seeing how it performs on the carvera air
Great
How can I enter in contact with the marketing department? Thanks!
Hello, do you think this machine is capable of machining small diameter parts (15 mm) with precision? For example scroll wheels for a racing car steering wheel?
Yes, it could.
Ok thank you, and will the 4th axis be provided in the Kickstarter version ?
The levelling feature is interesting. Would users specify the stock size that is probed?
Yes, the auto-leveling area is the same as the machining area.
@@Makera no what I mean is if yhe stock is taking up 1/4 of the bed for example, does the machine only probe that 1/4? If so does the user control the area to be probed in the software? Thanks
Yes, usually the milling area is within the stock size, so it will only probe that area, but how big, depends on your model and path.
@@Makera thanks
when the launch?
The launching date will be announced soon. Please subscribe and stay tuned.
@@Makera I'm subscribed to everything and I'm impatient to see it on KS 😂 I hope it will be announced in this month/week 😬
Now to wait on the Canva Air Lite - Kit Edition. A bunch of parts in a box for 500 bucks.
I'm confused, what is the difference between this and the Carvera Desktop CNC Machine that I can buy right now besides its design?
The Carvera Air is a light or basic version of the Carvera, without all the premium features of the Carvera.
Hi, the Carvera Air is primarily targeted towards customers with tighter budgets, especially those new to CNC, providing a solution that closely resembles and approaches the functionality and machining capabilities of the Carvera. The main distinctions include:
1. Auto tool changer (Carvera) versus quick tool changer (Carvera Air)
2. Larger bed size (Carvera) versus smaller bed size (Carvera Air)
3. Integrated laser module (Carvera) versus optional laser module (Carvera Air)
4. Built-in vacuum system (Carvera) versus external vacuum system (Carvera Air)
5. In-stock availability now (Carvera) versus availability late this year (Carvera Air)
The Carvera can be regarded as a premium option, while the Air represents a more budget-friendly choice.
For more specifications on the Carvera Air, please visit: Carvera Air Specs www.makera.com/carvera-air
@@Makera Thank you! This was very helpful!
@@Makera Also looks like:
Linear rails on all axis (Carvera) Linears rails on Z axis (Carvera Air)
Rigidity will be big difference on Carvera vs C.Air?
Thanks for the reminder. The Carvera has linear rails + aluminum extrusions for the X-axis and for the Air there are two linear rods, but we introduce a unified die-cast frame for the Air, so overall, the sturdiness is similar.
it needs a camera and a 4th axis that can cut hardened steel. If you need 220v that would be fine withnme
We'll make another test with steel soon. You can find previous test video on TH-cam, check it out: th-cam.com/video/VTWt6elB6eg/w-d-xo.html
@@Makera i want to use the cnc machine to make custom coins from rail road spikes.
How to install on my macbook air?
Software have some error, it's not be open.
Can you try this link. github.com/MakeraInc/CarveraController#macosx-installation
Makera
嗯,可以的
So I’m just a mechanical engineer but from my calculations, this is not a 3-D printer. We are not trying to get bed adhesion. I would want my spindle as flat to the table as possible!!! preferably with the two micros. For a CNC machine. To probe the top of the material and to run a program mesh would make all the tolerances out of tolerance while machining. Maybe to probe the top of it in a few places to get the highest point, and then start machining from the highest point. Waste of money and energy to build a mash just machine the top of your block flat. You could’ve used that time and money to actually make a probe. to pick up the block finding the insides of hole, finding bosses, finding the bottom of material the top of material. Ruby probe would be preferred with full capabilities
Matrix height probing is necessary for milling pcbs. 3d probe would be nice.
This is neat, and Im sure not cannibalizing the Carvera was a thought when opting to exclude it, but not having a tool changer removes the personality from this/lets it fade into the background of a million other desktop mills.
I guess the question then is does this do what they do but better? What's the reason to buy this over them? Is it price? Is the spindle stronger? Is it more rigid? I don't know/can't immediately think of it.
Edit: I guess it has a power drawbar which is unique.
Actually you know what, I think this plus the cast frame might give this thing some legs/makes it interesting.
We think the combination of price, rigidity, functionality, and ease of use is what the Carvera Air aims to offer.
Drawing on our experience and the confidence we have in the original Carvera machine, we aim to provide a more affordable option for individuals with limited budgets, particularly those new to the CNC world who may be concerned about the hassle and complexities involved.
Hello Sir/Mam,
I Visited your TH-cam channel and noticed it ranks lower than others. SEO is lacking, though your content is fantastic. Do you know why your videos aren't attracting more views? One key factor is insufficient SEO (your videos' SEO score is 0/100%, that's why your video is not reaching out to the people and you do not have many subscribers, views, likes, watch time, and comments. I can help you improve it 80-90% if you'd like. I think your TH-cam channel will make your dream come true. I am waiting for your response.
