4:44 oh my as a flute player i must say that has some beautiful slurring of the notes , also beautiful well breathed high notes . Even paino is lovely. I learned it first the flute then guitar, tried mr brothers clarinet.
It still astounds me how in the 1800's man could design & construct buildings like this especially the QVB in Sydney which is still there standing as strong as ever but how I love nostalgic photos like these.
@@rangertocpt I don't know if they would have the skills or the materials to do it again today. Walk into the CTB at the head of Martin Place to see what I mean.
Thank you Leslie for this really great archival treasure. Good to see Sydney's first early 20th century modest skyscrapers as well as the Victorian elegance of Macquarie street among so many other beauties. I really miss the wonderful T&G building an ART DECO Masterpiece now replaced by a nondescript lump. You always give us so much to enjoy. Thanks again. Best wishes.
Id like to know why the population is continually lied about !.... There is no way the meagre population we are told did this...at least 2/3s were woman and children !.... So a little bit of truth would not go astray !

Better constructed than the buildings of today.

Call me old fashioned, but the old Sydney looks 1000% better back then, with those beautiful old English style buildings, plus they were well built.
I agree.
