When's the best time to reveal your MS diagnosis? 👀

Id say when YOU see a genuine connection and if you see potential in that person. In my experience, telling every guy I would talk to online, some see it as a weakness and as if they could do what they want with you because your too weak to fight back. Once I saw that the guy was a genuine good guy, and that I could see a future with that person, THEN I would reveal it to them, and I did have a few that by knowing that it changed how they treated me simply because they saw it has a death sentence, but my boyfriend now, it made him appreciate the person that I am even more. So you just have to use your own judgement when it comes to the WHEN you let them know.

When the capacity to listen and desire to understand is both trusted & available • 🌱
Real treat when it does happen but in my experience has been very few and far between - 🙃

I am in a relationship now, but I was online dating, trying hard to find my husband and I found that people that I met in real life, didn't give me a second look other than to check out why the chick was walking with leg braces and forearm crutches! lol, so I resorted to online dating so that someone could get to know me for the person I am, then IF I saw that the connection was genuine. If could see potential in that person, I would then allow them to know I had MS, but without waiting too long so that if they couldn't handle it, it didn't waste my time or theirs. However, the good side of that is it separated the boys from the men! My boyfriend now took it like a champ.. his response was just simply that he sees by my attitude towards it that I am strong and that he would be there no matter what MS did to me, that he still wanted to get to know me for me. Those kind of guys ARE out there, don't take less than you deserve EVER! You are worth so much more than that!!

Are you still with your fake boyfriend? aaaahahhaaahaha real life...aaahhaa vs an alternate reality.... So the computer concelled your walker until you met? Sorry, I have a mental disability, is it apparent, I dropped out of kindergarten to be a comic on disabled dating sites.

I found date sites or apps quite shady... Just doesn't feel right 😂😂 happy for people who can have good relationships on it! Correct me if I'm wrong: don't you think that is more difficult for men with MS to find someone? I really think so. It just tears my self-confidence down... And I only got invisible symptoms by now. Great video with amazing people, thanks! 😊👍

Why would it be harder for a man? I have MS and have had a hard time dating especially after I tell someone, but covid hasn't made dating easy either.

I've experienced attraction to a disabled. A former girlfriend was practically deaf without her hearing aid. Initially and before I knew she was deaf I found her profoundly unattractive, when I found out she was deaf I was freaked out by her, but as I got to know her I found the way she handled herself as a disabled and how she dealt with her disability to be largely unaffected was inescapably attractive. We dated for several years.

Oh, by the way, I wear a diaper because I have explosive irritable bowel discharge.....shall we go dancing now...xxoo Not all disabilities are treated the same, and..... forced dating by computers isn't exactly destiny, is it... it's more like shopping.
