It was fun to watch this & relive the festival. I enjoyed chatting with you & Andre at the rum-tasting class & thanks for the connection to Tania. Next time I come over I want a speaking part, not just a "crowd shot" 😂
Thanks Jeff & André 😊 We got back home early this morning so we're now suffering from the Portugal blues 😢 🇵🇹 Instead of an autograph, how about a signed photo?! I'm sure Joe would love one lol! 🤣 😜 It was great to see an appearance from the lovely American couple who accompanied us on your tour. If you could send them on my TH-cam channel details that would be amazing as we're all appearing together in my next vlog! Have an amazing week & a blessed weekend my friend 🤗
Hey Rue!! Sorry bud it’s been a mad week 😝 I’ll send your video over now … thanx again and looking forward to seeing your next vlog ;)) Cheers bud have a great week !!
Thanks, Jeff. This was entertaining. I recently went to Brazil and later learned from one of your videos that its sugar cane came from Madeiran cuttings. Now, I’m pondering this: Is cachaca a close cousin of Madeiran aguadente? Closer than perhaps traditional rum and aguadente because rum usually involves molasses, while aguadente and cachaca are both distilled sugar cane juice. Just a thought.
Hey! Yes you’re correct, cachaça and aguardente (Madeiran aguardente de cana) is very similar indeed and produced in a similar fashion. My question to you is have you thought about the similarities of caipirinha and the original pescador poncha? Think about that one ;) *just a theory of mine 🤠
@@Hittheroadmadeira None of the caipirinhas I drank in Brazil (and there were many) put me on the floor like the offerings of Taberna da Poncha. But then again, Madeiran bartenders may be a little more "generous" than their Brazilian counterparts. ;-)
Your content just keeps getting better 🙌🏽
Thanx Pedro!! Hope to see you soon buddy
Hi Jeff - all the talking may not be easy but we’re so glad you do it. Great show, looking forward to the next episode! Go PopSec!!
Thank you Howard 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!! I’m sure you can tell I did lol
