Wonderful video.... brings back so many memories. As you walk along Sheep Street you see The Shakespeare Hotel sign near the top of the street. The lower windows in the building on the left from which the sign hangs was my flat as I worked as a chef at the hotel starting in 1967 when it was owned by Trust House Forte. The town centre has been modernised and especially the Clopton Gardens where the video begins. That same year, some half wit set fire to the beautiful and historic Anne Hathaway's cottage destroying the entire building. She was of course William Shakespeare's wife. Beautiful town and a great video.....thanks for posting.
Thank you. That walk was thoroughly enjoyable after filling my green waste bin with weeds, I took time to feast my eyes on old bricks, a good variety of buildings, history of William Shakespeare. You are a treasure.
We were over there in 2015. We did a tour of England, Ireland and Scotland. At Stratford upon Avon we saw the home were Shakespeare grew up and Ann Hathaway's cottage
We were in Stratford last week and visited the Wetherspoon's you sneered at twice. It was clean and friendly and the food was good and not over-priced as it is at most Stratford venues.
I remember visiting one time to Stratford Upon Avon. The streets filled with historical Tudor Buildings and sights of William Shakespeare attractions transferred me to another place and time. I wish I could've walked inside the buildings to give me a glimmer of what they held inside. Thanks again for bringing me along to another of your historical walks! :)
So lovely to see that special place again without travelling there! 👍 Thank you. New visitors -I would recommend getting the bus tour, it goes to all the key places and you can get on and off when you want to. There are also a few little benefits such as discounts. Or at least this was how it was when we last visited. Or you can walk round the town as it’s very compact. The church is beautiful but we had to pay to go in.
Thanks for the lovely upload ! Always wanted to see Stratford Upon Avon again - have visited this beautiful place in 1990 ( the old town ) - William Shakespeare's birth place
It’s strange really as Stratford is not far from where I live I knew where you were walking 😊 it’s beauty alone is lovely a beautiful town and so much history great video 😎
Finally it’s situated on river Avon 146 km north west of London south east of Birmingham south west of Warwick education there are Shakespeare birthplace trust Shakespeare institute king Edward v1 school grammer school Stratford upon Avon college the meaning of word Stratford Celtic means river or water thank you for your cultural documentary channel stay safe blessed good luck to you your dearest ones
It would be wonderful if you could make a video inside the home of Shakespeare with the museum for those of us that may never get the opportunity to go to see.
i thought the "old town" had more modern buildings than the many Tudor style houses in the main town. thank you for another great walk. looks a lovely place to visit
I have visited a number of times and enjoyed the full Stratford experience, including the theatre, thrilling! I hope the big corporations don’t spoil it as they have spoilt so many other places .

Another enjoyable video, but why the Boo, for Wetherspoons? After all, they have preserved many old interesting buildings, that might otherwise have been destroyed. Is it because of the recent lies, in the press, that have proved to be fabricated? Just about all have been retracted, because they simply weren't true!
Amazing Stratford-upon-Avon?!??!! You are joking aren't you? It's a dreadful place ...awful traffic management, loads of street begging and drug related crime. No decent shopping centre just countless restaurants, coffee shops and pubs. A useless local council and high cost of living. I note you didn't walk though high street , bridge street and Rother Street where these problems are most evident.
@@GimbalWalkTV You have absolutely no idea have you? With that glib reply. Since moving to Stratford my wife has been assaulted twice by beggars, we witness daily drug dealing in neighbourhood. Had threats of violence in town, verbal aggression and witnessed drunken loutish behaviour everyday at the river during the summer. To add insult to injury the council think residents and businesses should pay a premium for living in picturebox Stratford,. You get some perspective or sooner or later somebody will shove that gimbal where the sun don't shine
I genuinely hope you find happiness in your life as you’re clearly not a happy soul - smile and be happy, it will make your life a better one and you’ll have a much more positive experience than sitting moaning and whinging on the internet 🤣🤣
Another great & fantastic video of STRATFORD UPON AVON | Walking tour of Stratford Upon Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare | 4K!.💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Shakespeare was 48 when he died? Robert Burns was 37? Have we as humans devolved?
Stratford-upon-Avon the place to live in the Midlands if your extremely wealthy..
"Shake-speare" is a pen name that was not connected to Stratford Upon Avon until after 1616
By any chance did you see William home i mean sorry
Nowt wrong with spoons pal 😂😂🍺🍻
Their Beef Madras is the best pub food I've ever tasted!

i despise chains and corporatism , why cant the leave historic towns alone, its cultural vandalism.
This makes me feel like a visitor with a hearing impediment.
How do you mean?

You need to get your facts right. It does't take much effort.
Hi Hugh
You sound angry mad
Are you ok?
Do you need someone to call you some emergency help for your anger?
