Nikon needs to redesign the 50mm 1.2S to be similar in size and styling to the 85mm 1.2S. The 50 is too huge. But in any case, I'm looking forward to how the 1.4 and 1.2 lenses Viltrox will release for the Z will perform.
I have the Nikon Z9 and the Z85mm f1.2 and the Z135mm f1.8 Plena. There is no way that I’m getting the Nikon Z50mm f1.2 because it’s way too unwieldy and cumbersome to be used as an everyday lens, which for a lot of people the 50mm is. Their design team really messed up on this one. Because of this I’m getting the Canon R5 Mark to and the Canon RF50mm f1.2 as an everyday kit.
@@dakotaxu4792 Indeed. I can also recommend to have a closer look at the Sony 50mm f1.2 GM which is in my opinion even better than the Canon lens. Here's a comparison: th-cam.com/video/5uOc9jqDpjU/w-d-xo.html
What picture profile are you recording the video in? Or is it something like n-log and graded in post? If it's something like the latter, why is that necessary? I mean why do cameras not produce video that looks like that straight out of camera? I'm not a video expert, I use a Z6II and when I make videos, I can't put my finger on it but something about it seems fake
it seems to be something closed to perfection. I'm looking forward to put my hands on it. one day 😃
the "aesthetic fake aperture ring" is a functionweel, my dear. You can assign it different functions, look in your camera menu under: controls.
Mine just came in the mail today! Excited to use it!
Very good review!👍🏻 The first thing which I did on this lens is I deactivated from the camera menu that aperture controller on the lens.
How does it compare to 70-200 f2.8?

Which is a shame, because it keeps me from switching to Nikon, because 50mm f1.2 is my favorite lens on Sony.

I also use this lens all the time. The 85mm f1.2 is an awesome lens for sure.
You should get the Plena next
I'm tempted to get this for next years wedding season paired on my z6iii and shoot on a zf 28mm or 26mm on my left body :D great review!
hi, I also hope you review the z 85mm 1.8 😁
I hope to as well!
You must be very strong to like Nikon’s top lens. Their ability is top in making heavy gears.
Do some pushups.
A troll!
