I love Ari’s honesty and transparency. People were blaming her team for that tour and she was like nah I wanted the money lol Her real fans will be here for her period!
i think both truths can exist at once. there were several other tours that were happening during rod’s tour that Ari would’ve better aligned with. Victoria Monet had a sold out tour that ran during the summer time as well, and she had several different openers that Ari Lennox would’ve fit with Ari A LOT more than Rod. Not to mention all of the concerts Ari could’ve booked that happened during the summer(camp flag knaw, afropunk, coachella, etc.) Although her getting paid is a big priority, being in an environment where her artistry is respected should be up there as well.

the dancers would've been a distraction for that type of audience. but you shouldn't have to distract an audience into liking your music. so yea...she didn't need dancers, the audience was not a match for her.

Young lady I enjoy your singing. And the bottom line it just didn't eork...the 2 different genres didn't mesh. Personally I listen to all types of music ... but its not for everyone. That being said, they had no rite to F with you on stage. You don't want to listen go, out to the lobby, go have a smoke outside...or sit your ass in the chair and be respectful of the artist on that stage.
