Thats cool, The MAFD is another cool little deceive you can attach to the DFAM to give it midi capabilities. It allows you to write in the midi notes on your sequencer (DAW) and play it any order of sequence / notes you'd like. For the price, Moog should've included midi functionality on these devices.
I knew there was no midi when I got it but didn't realize no CV reset...never thought it wouldn't. It's crazy that Moog left that out, especially since there's a button already. I do love it though, and in a Eurorack system, it's a beast. I'll check this little guy out too. Thanks for the info!
alternatively there is the MAFD which is much smaller, simpler, available in the US comes in both eurorack and standalone/ each step is fully addressable via midi note and includes two additional outputs that default to velocity and mw cc's but basically can be used to automate additional cv ins on the dfam. I'm not affiliated with them in anyway and the dfam thing is interesting but for my setup mafd makes more sense,
Hi i just got the dfam thing . And im having problems getting it to work in midi mode. I have it connected to my Digitakt with midi but I can't get it to just keep a steady beat. With the Digitakt. If i put triggers in Digitakt it will play them. But not a steady beat. I have midi channels channel in Digitakt set to 7 and defam thing set to 7. Noy sure what im doing wrong. Would be great if you could help me out thanks
The Edge does have midi. Not the other features this offers but the Thing does work with the Edge as well if you want the sequencer capabilities and other functions. This was more aimed at people who already own a DFAM really. Thanks for watching!
Says 1080p for me now. TH-cam does this while rendering an optimized HD video from an upload which is why I ALWAYS schedule my videos to be published like an hour later when the rendering is finished.
