    My people 😩😩
    Coming home soon.
Lived in Lagos all my life.
Hopefully, this year I'd enter Okpoma and Abachor.
Even Yesterday I cooked Yala yam that my aunt just brought from the village.
Funny how my other aunt who ate the yam came back to ask me if i was the one that cooked the yam, i told her yes, then she said it tasted exactly like our village yam.
    I just smiled.
    ❤️

Our brothers and kin... children of Odeh, Idoma people, I was 14years old in 1996 when I accompanied my mum to take my younger brother to register first time in G.S.S North Bank, Makurdi... we were in a bus speaking the Edumoga dialect of Idoma which I belong... a Yala young lady sitting next to my mother couldn't contain herself anymore and shouted... hey mama, you and your son are speaking a dialect that I thought was my language but not exactly... I can hear everything you are talking about with your son. She was with her brother whose name was offikwu which means "slave to death" in Idoma... clearly then, I never knew that our brothers migrated a bit further to Okpoma in ancient times a place which translates to "Salt River"... the Idoma traditional house should do everything possible to get our kindreds re-united... the Yala people have to be present when we coronate Ochi'doma and we need to present when they crown their Kings also. I live in Germany today but it is my life goal to visit Yala Kingdom one day before I die with my son to see my brothers over there... blood bond must never be forgotten but kept alive... I understand every snippet of words being spoken in the background.

Go and talk to your people and sound it to your elders so we can start the process of reuniting our peoples again. You people are living in Northern Cross River which is across the River from Igedeland... the Igedes are living on Edumoga land... I hear the elder who started the narration say something like: "Ogamode" that means Ode was begotten by Oga... the father of Edumoga my own dialect is Edeh who is the father of Ogah... so it means Edeh named his son Ogah after his brother Ogah... who is the Grandfather of Odeh the father of Yalas... the Edumogas, Igede and Yala have the same native dance steps, drums and rhythm. The whole of Zone "c" in Benue state are your brothers... that's you natutal second home... Yalas, our brothers are welcomed to any part of Zone "c"... we must get our people together to lean more on each other's culture... we miss you all. The Etulos in Tivland are also our brothers. In Edumoga... that seed called "Ukpo" is also the same way Yalas call it... come to Edumoga land and see a million people bearing the name Odeh and Ogah. We love you all... from your brother in Germany.

It's so unfortunate how farming in Yala is underestimated. Haven lived in Benue for over 24years and known Yala and Cross River North all my life, I wonder how Benue is rated food basket. Ever compared the sizes of Benue and Cross River North yam sizes? If only Yala people can take commercial farming more seriously...
