    Thank you very much for the honest, no BS assessment of the job opportunities here in Spain. I’m a US citizen living here with my Spanish partner, and it has been excruciatingly difficult to find anything worthwhile salary-wise much less utilize my higher education to secure good job prospects. This video gives me ideas for niche areas to focus on, though, so thank you.

      IT jobs can be a good option regarding salary. For senior profiles, salaries are close to those of other countries.

      @@eduardodonate8357 I think they’re lower than Germany, NL (etc). Tax rates are low too in Spain.

    Great video!. I like to say that a lot was changes over the last 12 months, today most companies offer permanent remote working and it will only grow, you just need to be an export in your field.

      Yes, more companies accept remote work. And if you're an expert, you can get away with a lot. Unfortunately a lot of companies don't allow 100% online, at least that's my experience working in recruitment

    Normal salary is around 1200 net...and apartments..around 1200...

    Hello, this is completly true about the outsourcing thing that you are talking about.
    I'm working for a big company that recently opened quarters in Spain. I took this opportunity to ask If I could work there, they accepted but I needed to lower my salary to around 3k € after tax. I hope it's gonna be sufficient to live confortably.

      3K€ after tax is pretty good for Spain! I think you should be able to live comfortably with that.

    First of all thank you for the amazing video. Spain is one of my dream countries in the world. With the amazing culture, language and the weather. I kept thinking if i would immigrate there to Study, work and settle. (Ofc if the current situation is better). I’m afraid that i’ll have low or near minimum wage and can’t keep up with the expenses. I’m not even sure if i should just choose another country like Germany, Netherlands, Belgium or the nordics. 🤔

    And it's so true about sale positions being such a step up in salary if you sell well LOL commissions are crazy.
    I remember in one call center I worked at in 2010 they could never find a sales manager, cause no salesman wanted to be manager- you get paid 4 times less LOL
    Love this update, and any update from where you live, as my BF and I looking into moving to Spain in few months, even though we are self employed and wouldn't need jobs. It was def nice to see that we could afford living in Spain

      Sounds familiar. A lot of people I know work for shorter periods of time in a call center and save up money. But very few people can do it in the long run.

      almost everything is free and cheap in spain the famous new spanish fashion brand zara is cheap rent is expensive in few spanish cities barcelona bilbao madrid unlike in italy the rent is expensive in a lot of italian cities the famous new italian fashion brands are expensive

    So true about the outsourcing. They hire German or French people in Spain, paying them less, even though their company is in another country :D I was lucky so it didn't happen to me...but I had some interviews, and it shocked me!

      Exactly.. I get it though, a company from my country (Denmark) can get away saving half the labor costs (or more). The questions is whether they can expect the same level of competence and productivity.

    Please respond to me,I'm in Ghana and want to migrate to Spain to work there,but please in Ghana here I'm currently working as a gas pump attendant so can I get the same job in Spain?     For a foreigner that speaks En glish fluently, how do you get a visa to live legally in Spain? And what job opportunities are there to earn a decent living wage?

    Hi, we are a couple living in Miami and want to give Malaga a try. We were wondering if you have any info on how long Americans can stay in Spain if we don’t plan on working there, just want to live there as We work remotely and our combine salary is 6000/month. Do we have to pay any taxes there too for the money we make from here ?

      Thank you so much for your kind words. There are definitely also plenty of call centers in Barcelona. Cost of living is high in Barcelona though, especially rent.

      Hi there, I think somewhere like Starbucks pay close to minimum wage. Online it says that the starting salary is 6.73€ per hour. I also made a video about the cost of living: (however it depends on where in Spain)

    Hi, I’m from Portugal and the salaries here are even worse, plus the rents are absurd. I wanted to give Valencia or Sevilla a try and i’m trying to see some call centers but it’s difficult to find one that asks for native portuguese speakers. Do you have any advice? Thank you

      There are a decent amount of call centers in the costa del sol area - perhaps more than in Valencia or Sevilla. So perhaps there instead :)

    Hi. I have a query. When you were working at a Call centre and of course you knew Spanish. Right? If we are English speaker then is it possible to get a job at call centres?

      Spanish is not required to work in the call centers most of the time. They typically hire people based on another target language (in my case Danish) 😊 so if you speak another popular language, Spanish isn't necessary.

My question is what are the options for me getting a visa to stay longer than 3 months? I'll be working remotely as a M.D. radiologist free US-based teleradiology firm.       I will earn pretty well like $500 USD per hour and only working like 60 hours per month. Do I need to enroll in a Spanish school or work in order to stay in Spain or can I do something else? Appreciate your help

      Hi there :) I'd suggest that you look into the digital nomad visa. With your earnings, you should easily qualify and I believe that this would be the most relevant visa for you based on the information provided. Best of luck 🤗

      I had just graduated and I had a hard time finding a job. So when they offered me a sales job here, I said why not :) And now I am still here, not for work, but for every other reason :)

      @@manuelfg2902 In Spain it is very easy to find a job if you speak a Scandinavian language. Much easier than in Denmark, yes. The situation is completely different.

      Well, there is always a demand for native English speakers, but if you're thinking in terms of getting a work visa, that might be difficult. Typically call centers aren't willing to sponspor people so you would probably have to find some other way to obtain a visa :)
