its is nothing about Chet Baker, actually... it's a tone from Tom Jobim & Vinícius de Moraes. Chet got inspiration from Bossa Nova too... His song Zingaro, for ex. is a rereading of Retrato em Branco e Preto, a song from Jobim & Chico Buarque.
Alexandre Fernandes he's probably referring to the fact that many peoples first time hearing a tone like that was through chet. No need to be an asshole and give a history lesson.

You are playing it a step up I noticed.
That's because it should match with the background music, I suppose
El Padrino I believe it's because the music is notated in concert pitch, instead of transposed for trumpet
@@hamishpierpont8857 Absolutely correct. It's in the key of F one flat Bb and he's playing in G one sharp F# for trumpet.
