- It's unlike any arpeggiator you've ever used and far too simple to be this fabulous but I absolutely love this thing, and here's why.
FlatSix sent this to me free of charge in the hope I'd do a video and I am delighted to do so. But they haven't paid me anything and don't have any say in the content of this video.

Love the genuine happiness. Thx Robin.
That joy is the reason we crave new modules like new set of Star Wars Legos as child 😊
This is genius. And I'm smiling and giggling at the sheer simplicity of it all. I've ordered one and to hell with any import duties - all I now need to do is make a 1U frame to attach it to my existing rack
FlatSix - for those without a 1U rail, please do a vertical version 3U :)
can't it be just turned on its end :) ?
@@DisciplinedCommotion depends how much HP it is
It's something I am looking into. I am hard at work right now on other free firmware for it (with different functionalities) but I like the thought of a 26hp 3U panel that can fit 3 of them (kind of like a triple manual keyboard) Stay tuned!
@@FlatSixModular Cool! I'd be happy with a vertical keyboard tbh so not as much HP, for smaller racks ... I have used vertical single octaves before with good results.
@@GaryHayes ahh yes :)
Fantastically phenomenal!
Brilliance.
I'm surprised they don't come with a set of overlays à la NE's Versio/Legio line, to indicate the notes used in different scales. Would be a very handy learning tool.
That’s a fab idea
Thank you so much for the kind words! I am THRILLED that you enjoyed it! (And the transposition idea was brilliant!)
It's very … modular :).
@flatsixmodular these looks very cool. How can I mount them in my case which doesn’t have a 1hp row?
@@QuantumSynths1 thanks! There are a couple of 1u Intellijel to 3u adaptors available from XO. I’m not affiliated with them, but the FC313 wide comes in 28hp or 30hp which should fit the Arp Of Darkness and the Slight Of Hand (both 26hp)
You could do a grid layout like the mix for a 6u
Bro i love these reviews
How can I mount these in my case that doesn’t have a 1hp row? Any suggestions?
A 28 or 30hp XODES 3U to 1U adapter. Only problem being you'll have another 62-64hp of 1U to fill.
I really wish there was a 3U version, because it would make a perfect compliment to my Bastl Neo Trinity for sequencing a tiny case.
Ok ok ok I love this. Will it fit sideways in a regular case?
I'd be inclined to try running it through a quantizer to a scale of your choice, trigger the quantizer with a pattern generator (maybe Euclidean or whatever), and either clock the Arp, or run it off a different trigger pattern.
I think you're after a different product
@@MoltenMusicTech No in the slightest - I'm suggesting you a patch - try it.
Seems like the differences between arps and sequencers are getting blurred. What's really the difference?
Intention
What's that little doohickey white box thing you got to the right of your rack?
Looks like a Korg NTS-2
Yes, the Korg NTS-2 oscilloscope - i used it in the Algo video
@@MoltenMusicTech Ahh thank you sir!
F U N !
that's not a 3'oh sequencer is it ?
I'm not sure what that is
@@MoltenMusicTechI think 303.
@@SirSybian if you meant a 303 sequencer the current answer is no, it’s more of a shift register that you play like an arp, but more free firmwares are in development and that’s one of the ideas that I’m looking into.
