  • In this video, 454ss does a test to see if the hose glitch to the pulley allows fluid transfer- then gives a suggestion for much more build techniques!

Glad someone commented on this, the pulleys have little to no use without being able to use hoses and cables as well. They also need to reduce the weight of the ropes themself! Great video keep it up!

Ive mentioned this multiple times to the devs through geometa. It makes it really hard to make anchors with ships since the winch has to be inside the hull. Unlike most other people, the devs actually responded, stating that they would have to completely rework how ropes, cables and hoses work. Honestly i think it would be worth it since you might be able to fix other issues at the same time, like elastic rope.

They should let us connect cables and hoses to pulleys but limit the amount of tension they can go under. This way the game would keep its realism(?) and we can make combined pulleys with both cables/hoses and rope.

I agree with this! If it "snaps" at a certain tension, that would work. However, there is no tension limit when using the winches, so the easiest would to use the same mechanics!

This would be a really annoying thing to deal with when it comes to anchors. If your ships barely moves the whole thing would snap, meaning you would need multiple cables and winches.

@@firefalcon3086 Agreed, but that would force you to work mostly with ropes for securing things! But yes, it would be annoying :P

I want they to update sounds, like when go to a sealed room, the sounds form the ocean or sound inside the vehicle will be muffled in the sealed room.

but just to clearify my thoughts on this: ropes to elec anchor actually works on purpose this way. this shall provide the on and off input on the anchor for a magnet. but you cannot put a pully between. and i dont want the rope to elec or fluid anchor to be changed. ropes are basicly a universal thing to lift, it doesnt provide anything more than this and the on off input. they dont transfer electricity or fluid to the other anchors, or composite data. only the input for magnets.
i dont want this universality to be changed. if youd change it you need to have the ugly blue cable as a cranerope everytime you use a simple magnet as an attachment.
ngl as a gamedeveloper i would have gone for a universal rope, that does all, similar to depricated winches.
tho as a player i like the idea of having 1 universal rope to lift from any type of anchor
and 2 to provide specialized support
the only issue i have is that you cannot attach a rope to a NON rope anchor after a pully
i dont even care if they cannot impliment a pully with elec cable or fluid hose. but just give me the abillity to still have that on and off magnet input to work after a pully

Thanks for the comment and feedback! You brought this to my attention, and I applied my comment to it. See for me, it makes much more sense to force ROPE to ROPE anchor only, not allowing it to go to the cable or hose anchor (as if they have totally different couplers). It seems like a glitch/bug to allow rope to pair to non-rope anchors IF you are attached to a winch first, implying that the winch is the common factor (since it allows rope/hose/cable anchors to be attached. So to me this is a glitch, since it is inconsistent! I would much rather have the pulleys work with the hoses and cables! :D

@@454ss_gaming i wouldnt have any issues either with a strict rope to rope, elec to elec, fluid to fuild system. but what i have is an issue when it comes to cranes and winching especially on AHTS vessels and OSVs. as you will need a blue cable to do basicly anything. and its just that collor that buggers me off so much, that i still try to use depricated winches as much as possible, even if i want to change to a much more superior attachment system. or at least: give the rope anchor the same abillity for an on off output/input as the electrical anchor.

    i want hydraulic systems
hydraulic pumps, motors, pistons and winches that use a rps input so you can pair it with hydraulic motors

Bro we are still getting stuck on wedge blocks with nothing to do about it besides respawn. The only way these people will listen to their players is if effects their bottom line. Create negative reviews then leave constructive feedback where it matters, where people decide to buy their game or not.

I respectfully disagree - they have been listening to the bug report and community feedback! They are a small dev and can only do so much, so I do not suggest creating negative reviews and hurting them financially. But rather I prefer to get a lot of people on a topic, they see it and then make the change. A great example is the fishing update, for which so many people made creations, mods, videos, etc. and got their attention!
