- Hey guys this video is about me giving tip & advice on how to get started selling rhinestones, glass crystals & pearls ect. I thought it'd be helpful for me to share some of my experiences that may be helpful to anyone wanting to start a business. Even if you're not going to sell rhinestones this information is helpful & still applies in some ways.

Just a friendly little note for those who are new to rhinestones… it’s mentioned that “AB” indicates that a stone is jelly/resin… that isn’t correct. AB is the coating on the stones that gives them a color changing/shifting effect. You can also purchase glass rhinestones with this same treatment. All are beautiful in their own right. She is correct, there is a difference in cost of glass rhinestones, they are more expensive for a smaller quantity. Wishing all the best in their journey, happy rhinestoning. 😊

FYI: AB means Aurora Borealis coating and it can be on jelly/resin rhinestones as well as glass and crystal rhinestones. Also, 10 gross = 1,440 not 1,400
So what does 2 gross mean?

You’ve said you shop for rhinestones on alibaba, what do you usually do with the shipping costs? I tried ordering some but the shipping cost was almost the same amount of money I was spending for the merchandise, its super expensive. Is there a specific vendor that gives cheap shipping?
There's no such thing as cheap shipping from over there. Shipping cost are just as high as products. Rhinestones are heavy when you buy in bulk. You may possibly ask for sea shipping but that takes 20-30 days to get package.

So my question is how do you measure them for each package
I use a smaller scale & measure by grams. I count out 100 rhinestones weigh them in grams then do the math like multiply that by 10 ect.

I’m not trying to sell the rhinestones but I’m just wanting to use it for my art supplies and my resin crafts ... unfortunately I have no clue how to start the process of selling this stuff just doing it for fun at home with the kids and myself. I have 4 kids so my nails and crafting is kind of my way of doing something for myself outside of my family .

Ok, so you mentioned that you have a different business as well. Do you operate under the same business name and do you have to get a different tax id number? Thank you for this video. I just ordered my first batch of rhinestones from a vendor so I can start selling. It is exciting!!
When it comes to taxes I'm not that well versed to give much advice. Different business names would require separate LLC's

Start ordering samples from Alibaba.com to see what type of rhinestones you'd be interested in selling. Write down some ideas & options of where you'd like to sell them.

Thank you! If you buy glass stones in bulk they usually come in 1440 . For regular rhinestones you'd have to measure then out by weight & separate.

My vendors list has 6 quality vendors. I've heard of list having 50 plus or 100's of vendors I feel like those are kind of unrealistic to a degree. (But those were clothing & accessories list)
I always urge people to research on their own also. I found these vendors on Alibaba.com if you want to check it out.

How do you know what each one should weigh?
When you decide what quantity you want to sell them by count out 100 & weight them then multiply by ...

This video literally inspired me to start a rhinestone business. But I've been doing research and can't find anything to learn how to scale it by how many I wanna sell in each package. How do you scale it to what you're packaging?
Are you asking how many by the quantity you should sell? You can choose however you'd like to. I've seen them packed by the thousand or hundreds. 1000 or 2000 or 500 or 700 . Is that what you mean?
@@LifeIsAWholeVibe - yes, I already decided the quantity per package I wanted to sell per what I'm buying to start.. but without individually counting them, I'm not sure how to actually measure how much I want in each package. I've been looking online for two days trying to figure out a quicker packaging process and I'm guessing that's information that people sell because I can't find anything on that.
