I would argue that her sa3 isn’t that great in 3s. The amount of meter it uses for how much hp you actually gain is pretty bad. Even a simple sa3 combo from ken or ryu will blow up whatever you gained. The single stock also limits how much ex moves you can use
I would rank it under sa2 but above sa1
SA3 Elena is strong and viable. it may not be fun to watch or play against but it's a threat nonetheless

3:50 - iigouki, ii means very good in japanese, Gouki is the japanese name of Akuma in japanese. Not sure if he chose to name Gouki because it rhymed, because he is usually broken, or because he won with a down angled air fireball.

I play Ibuki exclusively. I know you're a pro at these games, but a few tips on my girl 🥷:
She has a tough time against short or ducking safe characters, as most combos don't chain well when crouching and aggressive.
Vs. your hyper mobile characters, like the brothers, Elena & Twelve, I like to wait for them to come to me. Anti air and being caught mid-combo is pretty punishing against Ibuki and other players if they're using those characters. She doesn't have the superiority like she does with other matchups. I try to go for grabs in those situations a lot more than standing combos as Ibuki bc of the above reasons, and the air super or grab super is a must to keep them guessing about trying to counter Ibuki. She's really an asymmetric strategy character, that can burst down combos.
Vs. your tall boys like Urien, you can be hyper aggressive and what-ever super you want and let your skill determine the match. She just can't do that against the short & fast ones.

IGouki is a play on Gouki which is the Japanese name for Akuma. Pretty much saying his Ibuki is Godlike. Gouki translated literally from Japanese mean "Great Demon". In older games he was a secret boss and broken in many games. Most notably he was banned a lot from Super Turbo tournaments.

Have you thought of setting up a "mid/low tier" FT5 match with a high level player on fightcade? I guess he probably has to be asked for the condition beforehand. That would be nice to see, especially since many people tend to follow the "Sanford Rule" as a dogma.

I used her as a secondary in SF 4 cause I love ninjas! :D
She's extremely technical and tricky, you gotta master your mix-ups and execution for sure to utilize her well (plus develop your anti-air strategies and pokes). My hands would hurt so much after using her sometimes lol.
Very good job, im glad to see different chars in the 3S matches. If you are open to play different chars pretty often that might mean a big increase of variety to the 3S series of videos. And i mean not play a certain different char for a meme reason like Hugo and Twelve as you already did.
Ibuki has good moves but just a little on the weak side
Few players can make Ibuki top tier, one of those players is TenRun that have probably the best Ibuki in 3S in USA.

Ibuki is only top tier in New Generation due to her infinite. In 2nd Impact she’s high tier but Akuma still beats her.

I've always thought Ibuki was sorta mid tier in 3s?
She's so sick, but she's so much work compared to how good she is
She ain't mid tier. I think she's bottom A tier or mid A tier because she's fast, good combos including the target ones, good set ups and decent damage. Unfortunately she's a bit on the low health side but well played, a good ibuki is HARD to deal with.
@@DPL58 she may not even be in the top 10 characters -- chun, yun, ken, makoto, dudley, yang, urien, and akuma are pretty comfortably better and you can maybe make an argument to put her with like oro, necro, and ryu but that's a mid tier character right there. ofc 3rd strike top tiers and bottom tiers aren't as far apart as some other games so she still has some really good stuff (but definitely doesn't have decent damage)
