Very interesting Thuja. It's great you let this one grow however it will grow. Quite often we force a tree to be how we imagine it should be for the sake of progress, but disregard the tree that is already there.
I totally agree with your view on what is a bonsai, as I also believe bonsai is a miniature reflection of nature, with some artistic flair..... That is an awesome tree Nigel 🎉🎉🎉
Looks really good . Like you say will be interesting to see how it progresses when the branches start to make individual looking trees. Will be heavy to repot with all that foliage. Gonna need a bigger rock lol. Great job 👏
Hi, Nigel funny enough,I too Have a wild thing. It is called a book leaf Pine. Mine is a wild thing because I'm not a fan of pine trees and didn't really know what I wanted to do with it!, so I just let it do its own thing and...viola! Mine has been developing for 30 years, so I'm def not going to change its style now. LOL😅
What is your winter plan? It seems like you still have loads of trees on the benches. I know you keep some deciduous trees in the poly house but can you maybe do a video on what your plan is for non tropical trees for winter? Thanks! I'm currently starting my first overwintering in zone 5. I'm in Iowa, we have some pretty hard times with the artic blasts!
I have a real soft spot for The Wild Thing. Lovely to see it again!

This tree is so cool!
Love to see you’re having snow 🩵🩵🩵, in Warsaw so far was only a little bit of frost at night recently.

Waiting for a ferry to Seattle…
How do your plants survive the freeze in the tiny pots??
It is Bonsai and I will allow it 😂
Someone would have to stretch pretty far to say this is not bonsai, in my opinion.
👍👌👌
How long is it okay for the trees to stay frozen?
Just in time to board the ferry…TFS…😅
Have a great trip Nate!!!
@@TheBonsaiZone In fact we did...I'll send you a picture of the pot I bought...Plus found some WA native plants for cheap...
Well, it is bushy...😊
Do you have yellow snow 🌲
Lol as my nephew put it: Russian roulette with snow.. eat yellow snow, it might be beer... but it could be pee 😆
Foist 🎉🎉
A foist for Dave!!
Why do you call it "the wild thing"?
