"Eagle" (1977) is ABBA's longest song, almost six minutes
It is the opening track of their fifth album, titled “ABBA The Album” (1977),
which coincides with the release and premiere of their film ABBA The Movie” (1977),
which records ABBA's memorable tour of Australia and all the ABBAmania unleashed there
(the scenes we see in this unofficial video are taken from the film "ABBA The Movie")
"Eagle" was released as a single in some countries,
it is a shame that it did not have the opportunity to be the third single from "The Album" in the United Kingdom.
(followed by "The Name of the Game" and "Take a Chance on Me")
Back to "ABBA The Album"
After the spectacular worldwide success with "Dancing Queen" and their album "Arrival"
came this more versatile album with more experimental music, with more elaborate and profound lyrics,
all the songs are of different genres, different from each other, fantastic, for me. It is their best album
It includes the great hit "Take a chance on me",
the beautiful ballad "One man one woman"
the mystical "Move on",

and you still have to listen to
the rocker "Hole in your soul"
(I hope it is the next one, the live version at Wembley 1979 is unmissable)
and the mini musical with the classic
"Thank you for the music",
and its continuations

They are all complete masterpieces.
A bit of background
All these songs were recorded after ABBA returned from their tour of Europe and Australia
and by then the blonde Agnetha was already pregnant with her second child
(so she recorded the nine songs, some with great physical difficulty)
