odisha is 95% Hindu ... n nabin won because he sided with swami lakhmanananda saraswati (who was killed by the Christian missionaries, due to which the riots happened) and the BJP chickened out because it didn't want another riot in its side after godhra ... so in that election BJD and nabin patnaik came out as more Hindu than BJP ... even VHP and RSS supported and even campaigned nabin patnaik and BJD ... this is the reason why BJD fell out with BJP.

Dharmendra Pradhan has only own one election i.e a loka sabha seat from Deogarh constituency which his father left for paving the way for his son... But Pradhan lost the subsequent elections after that.... where as Naveen Patnaik has never lost an election in his whole life.... Most of Naveen Patnaik's Policies are pro poor so he is continuously getting votes from all the village belts of Odisha... And if you really want to know more about him just visit the southern Odisha district of Ganjam which he repersents, has 13 assembly seats and the most populous district of odisha and all the seats are held by BJD and also has 4 cabinet ministers, you will get to know from the people how much work he has done for them....He may loose some seats in western odisha but in the costal odisha, north and south odisha he is not going to loose a single seat... And just to summarize he is so popular not just because of his father Biju patnaik, its because the pro poor policies of Naveen Patnaik in the state which was the poorest state during year 2000 when he took charge and now the GDP growth of the state is around 8% which is much more higher than the national average...
Exactly man , The GSDP of odisha was only 46k cr , during 2001-2002 and now the GSDP is 3 lk 48 k cr , its Naveen who did all this , and I believe odisha is a peaceful state only because of NAVEEN PATTNAIK . I just wonder how people unsee the good things he done to state , law and order , empowering poors , building infrastructure , and all those pro- poor schemes , well connected roads , no riot in last 10 years , but ppl being ppl and ppl can be fooled they have been taught that odisha is not developing so they started believing it and spout non sense . Let me tell u that he was not that popular in Odisha during Modi wave also.. After only he had given Patrolium ministry & 2014 result he got introduced by people as a credible figure or leader of BJP.
& he as CM? Tons of work needed.
But obviously their is a space for new regional party which need a connecting narrative.

Thanks Saurav ji for making a video on Naveen Patnaik... As far as popularity is concerned Dharmendra Pradhan is no where near Naveen Patnaik... Dharmendra Pradhan has only own one election i.e a loka sabha seat from Deogarh constituency which his father left for paving the way for his son... But Pradhan lost the subsequent elections after that.... where as Naveen Patnaik has never lost an election in his whole life.... Most of Naveen Patnaik's Policies are pro poor so he is continuously getting votes from all the village belts of Odisha... And if you really want to know more about him just visit the southern Odisha district of Ganjam which he repersents, has 13 assembly seats and the most populous district of odisha and all the seats are held by BJD and also has 4 cabinet ministers, you will get to know from the people how much work he has done for them....He may loose some seats in western odisha but in the costal odisha, north and south odisha he is not going to loose a single seat... And just to summarize he is so popular not just because of his father Biju patnaik, its because the pro poor policies of Naveen Patnaik in the state which was the poorest state during year 2000 when he took charge and now the GDP growth of the state is around 8% which is much more higher than the national average...
Exactly man , The GSDP of odisha was only 46k cr , during 2001-2002 and now the GSDP is 3 lk 48 k cr , its Naveen who did all this , and I believe odisha is a peaceful state only because of NAVEEN PATTNAIK . I just wonder how people unsee the good things he done to state , law and order , empowering poors , building infrastructure , and all those pro- poor schemes , well connected roads , no riot in last 10 years , but ppl being ppl and ppl can be fooled they have been taught that odisha is not developing so they started believing it and spout non sense . Now BJP may be getting strong in odisha , but they were nowhere near the TITAN
