i like most of Mathews hymns and popular songs. he is a very good organist but i can't help feeling that pop songs just don't seem quite right in such settings. if it was an old ballroom organ that rises out of the floor like the ballroom organ that has a shorter copy of the Eiffel tower attached to it known widely as Blackpool tower then that would be more appropriate for pop songs. its just some songs don't feel right in such a spiritually majestic building. maybe I'm wrong. I'm sure some will say i am wrong. i would quite like to see Mathew play on the old organ at Blackpool tower ballroom. its quite majestic in its own right.
